Johnson - Will I, um, won't I, um, um, well er, um 07:25 - Dec 21 with 1985 viewsbuilthjack

The bloke hasn't a clue. Leaving everything open for people to catch Covid, and for people to die.
His own party members voting against sensible decisions, so that the companies they have stakes in can make more money, but not giving a damn about people's safety or lives. So the opposition has to help Rubber Jonny put restrictions in place. A shambles.
He, and they, have been found out big time.
Let's um, let the peasants catch it , um, um, we should do something, but, um, my colleagues won't back me, um, er, that's how it is, um, oh well, it doesn't matter, um, how are my shares, um, er. Ooh, I have to go, we have a party shortly. Tally Ho.

It's a truly weird world where Politicians are criticised for not wanting to limit people's freedoms. The same Govt that has regularly been labelled Fascist by some fruitcakes has done almost everything it can to let people just get on with their daily business.

It's reading posts like this where you gain an understanding of how actual Totalitarian regimes get a foothold. People so scared of life that they're happy to surrender all decision making to their Government.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Um, er, um, I am not sure, um. Jolly well, um.
Rubber needs to stamp his authority on his party.

At the start of last year’s pandemic I seem to recall he tried a similar approach leaving it for people to make their own decisions, but it quickly became clear people were deciding to isolate and reduce social interactions and the government were then forced to act or businesses would quickly go to the wall. It’s like it’s happening again.

145,000 fellow citizens are dead.

How many need to die before Johnson takes the actions the scientists tell him to take..?
And less covid means a better economy.

We have an unfeeling lazy oaf at the wheel at the worst possible time.

What was the point of getting vaccinated and having the booster doses and vaccine passports? Why not lockdown the UNVACCINATED the people who are catching, spreading the virus ending up in hospital and ICU .

Let the rest of live our lives if you want to stay permanently indoors that is your choice.

Pure tokenism by Drakeford on average two football matches a week with big crowds and two rugby matches all of which needed vaccine passports. Meanwhile a million people a week are allowed to shop indoors and visit pubs restaurants.

The context is that 700,000 people die every year in the UK, that's about 1 in 80.

Some people have completely lost the plot, as you say you can see how extreme regimes get a foothold.

Drakeford has lost the plot with his tokenism just closing down outdoors sporting events. He had totally ignored the science.
On average just two rugby matched and two football matches will have crowds over 4,000 in a any week. Currently you have to have a vaccine passport to gain entry.

Meanwhile around a million people in Wales will shop indoors at all the various venues including pubs, restaurants. Of that approximately 100,000 will be unvaccinated.

Clearly the small numbers at sports events will have no impact compared to huge numbers meeting indoors.

I partly agree regarding liberty but there is no question, restriction or not, that this government is morally bankrupt.

I honestly think there is a significant proportion of the population who were quite happy to stay home from work for a year on nearly full pay and would be more than happy to do it again.

"Spectators will be banned from all sports events in Wales from 26 December to try to control the spread of the Omicron Covid variant.

The Welsh government said it will apply to all indoor, outdoor, professional and community sports events."

So exactly what is a community sports event?

Exactly this! people in work have got the calendars out now banging the drum about covid pushing their annual leave forward knowing full well they will be sitting on their @rses in a week or two anyway.
And to most this is about bashing the Tories not covid if only the leader of the labour party a Sir Kier Starmer the man of the working class a former lawyer/barrister from Surrey was in charge he would be totally different
