Russia invade Ukraine 14:17 - Dec 23 with 152317 viewsFlynnidine_Zidownes

Discuss.

Also why is Putin always described in the media as this rugged strongman? He’s barely five foot tall with his high heels on.

But that’s another debate.

I'd be amazed if there's any film of it, why would there be?

Every action a modern warship takes would be filmed and recorded.

Not if there’s no other vessel around to film the action, if the ship happened to be sending footage via a web cam to a command centre in Russia the Kremlin is hardly likely to release film of missiles slamming in to the ship.

Would it? Do you think the Russians would happily let the Ukrainian navy or NATO get within filming distance for longer than a few seconds at a time of war?

Other vessels would have filmed it - the ships that rescued the crew and it would have had air cover and the aircraft would have had cameras too, These ships are never alone

The film is fine but the cameraman was last seen desperately clinging onto a bit of floating wood just off the coast of Bulgaria.

Not everything is and not necessarily not necessarily by moving image.

How do you think the yanks claim to know it was hit by two missiles fired from Odessa?

Is it coincidence tgst since the Moksva exploded Russia has targeted Kyiv again?

Ah, I think I understand now, the problem here is, Contro hasn't actually been watching the news. he's been on Sky movies by mistake.

Come on Contro, own up, do you really think Putin would give us the footage of his prized Warship sinking?

Other vessels film it, like who more Russian ships? If Russian ships were nearby and filming, if the Moskva had sank as a result of an internal fire I’d have thought Putin would be releasing all the footage he has to rebut the Ukrainian claims - strange he hadn’t to date! Why would the Moskva need air cover, it’s role is to provide air cover for other ships in the fleet.
From what we’re told the ship which rescued the sailors was a Turkish freighter, do you think the Russians would just allow themselves to be followed and filmed by any old tug?

Modern warships have quite good fire suppression systems, it's not so likely a fire woud have sunk the thing unless the fire was caused by a missile strike, or three!

It was the Moskva not the Marie Rose.

It's role is to provide air cover for other ships? It's a cruiser not an aircraft carrier. It would have had air cover itself, all fleet ships do

Would Russians allow themselves to be followed? There's nothing they can do about is, just as the Royal Navy can't do anything about other ships watching it either

But watching isn't necessarily filming is it? They're being monitored is probably more accurate.

I didn’t explain it well enough, one of its main functions is to protect other ships from air attack because it’s rammed with surface to air missiles, in theory it doesn’t need air cover. If it had air cover why didn’t the fighter jets deal with the drones?

So do the Russians.
They claim they have not invaded Ukraine.
They claim they are not at war.
They claim they are not killing civilians.
They claim they are not targeting civilians buildings.
They claim they are not executing civilians.
They claim they liberating people.
They claim they have had light casualties during special operations.

We all know these Russian claims are lies.

Well it would seem to be correct or is it coincidence that the day after the Moskva blew itself up the Russians targeted the munitions factory that builds Neptune anti ship missiles?

Moskva was Slava class, look it up. it's a guided missile cruiser but with no ground attack missiles. it's whole point is, or was, to provide air defence. Taken from Wiki,

"From the end of September 2015, while in the eastern Mediterranean, the cruiser was charged with the air defences for the Russian aviation group based near the Syrian town of Latakia that conducted the air campaign in Syria"

Moskva actually provided air defence for land based aircraft.
