New Year reading recommendations. 13:14 - Dec 30 with 645 views | Gwyn737 | My New Years resolution is to brush up on Welsh history as I reckon a lot of my schooling on it has seeped out over the years. Any recommendations from fellow posters? I’m particularly interested in Welsh people’s impact on the wider world and regional specialist industrial history - particularly in the south west. Please avoid ‘weren’t England horrible to us stuff’ Thanks in advance 👠

Thanks, Loh. Managed to find and order The Welsh of Tennessee quickly but Copperopolis looks like a bit more of a challenge… I don’t suppose you’ve a recommendation on the move to Patagonia per chance?

This is a pretty good overview, Gwyn. I’ve got another book here somewhere too, the title escapes me for the moment, that focuses on Protestant fundamentalism as the driver for colonisation. I’ll try and dig that out if it’s something that interests you?

It is. It’s about 80% of the primary curriculum although it’s often framed in other topics, for example when studying the Normans the focus will be on the Normans in Wales. Unfortunately for me it was all some time ago!
