I saw on a news feed recently, the experts reckon young people are suffering from a reduction in empathy, are losing the ability to see the other side of the argument and instead just rail against it. They put it down to increased social media use. The pandemic and the forced decrease in social contact didn't help.
I wont be using GETTR, it was founded by an ex Aide to Donald Trump, that's enough to put me off.

I'm on GETTR, have been since they started.
I don't actually use it, but then I never had a Tw*tter account (until I created one for the purpose of winning a bet with a former poster on here) and largely avoided all Social Media interaction...unless you count this forum.
I opened a GETTR account and closed my unused Tw*tter account primarily because I want to support anyone who stands up for free speech and because I want Tw*tter, Facebook, Amazon, Google etc. to crash and burn after they started using Social Media to impose their politics.
I am sincerely hoping that a lot of these companies lose A LOT of money and heads start to roll. |  |
