I don’t remember on even one occasion seeing Bidwell actually dribbling past someone. His defensive and aerial stats are far superior to Ogbetas too I believe.

Again I'll ask, if we are going to play defenders so high up the pith they can't get back to defend AND if those remarks are correct cannot defend anyway, why not try a proper winger?

He will need some proper support on that side, not sure if Meandering Manning is the right fit, right now, right there. Unless he gets proper orders to properly play in position.

In our times, Keith, we've seen players who were labelled good signings flop and no hopers turn out quite well. Can't think of any right now mind but I do remember getting all excited when we signed a Portuguese player, Joao Moreira. He was a bit of a let down in the end, a defender who couldn't defend.
Much like with Martin, we have to give him a fair crack, maybe even more than fair given the way I feel about Martin this week. I still want "Russy" to succeed but I am hardly confident. We needed more from this window than we got. | |
