| Playing with a back 4 last night 08:06 - Feb 2 with 934 views | magicdaps10 | Was nice to see but shows how under strength we are when Christie is starting right wing, surely it would be time to call Garrick back, he can play there and we are struggling for creative players in that final 3rd. Think it was clear that Ntcham can't play out wide and is far more effective and comfortable centrally. Would possibly even contemplate trying Manning on the left wing as he has played there before and Wolf on the right. First time since he arrived, Wolf showed what he is capable of, slowly picking up that match day fitness. Its going to be an interesting few weeks but there is certainly not a list cause at present, stick with the back 4 and recall Garrick is a start. | |

The hand was forced after the transfer window.

Even more mental when you consider those who were criticised for criticising the system were calling for wingers from the start…

Thought he was good last night, couple more games to get up to speed and we will have a cracking player..... Until the end of the season.

| Playing with a back 4 last night on 10:35 - Feb 2 with 714 views | onehunglow | Excellent comments Nctcham being wasted.A class act but yet another playing where he shouldn't.This can't go on surely. Back four is definately the way to go as is not playing the ball 2 yards from keeper to full back and repeat. This is slow and it affects the mindset. When we attack ,and we did at times, with force and effect,we look ok but are incompetent in front of goal. Grimes is as bad as it gets as regards set pieces . We actually pass the ball sideways rather than shooting .This can be addressed and improved by coaching. Nobody i going to tell me we don't have enough firepower ;it's just the way they are told to play . | |

Cannot see it yet - lightweight, ball watcher, spends too much time walking when he should be running, can't beat a player. I admit early days but I'm well underwhelmed.
| Playing with a back 4 last night on 11:16 - Feb 2 with 675 views | Badlands | Did we play 4 at the back? Cabango Naughton and Bennett until Naughton left then a very loose back three from four with Cabango and Bennett central and either Manning or Christie covering. Once again Manning was left in limbo when called on to defend, that dragged Bennett out of position and left acres of space behind. IMO, while it was a good shot, Fisher's positioning should have been better. What we need to do is play the ball around in midfield and defence to draw opposition out and create space. Boring for some to watch but we are unable to break down 9 and 10 man defences. | |

And also mental that now we start playing wingers despite not having any wingers we start launching in crosses to a five foot two midget.

It was the same formation we played in the cup. Bennett and Cabango centre halves, with Manning and Naughton stepping into midfield from fullback. Christie and Wolf high and wide.

I thought he looked well off the pace for the first couple of games, but thought last night was a marked improvement. Looked a hell of a lot sharper and dangerous with the ball at his feet even if his end product isn't quite there yet. I was worried he would prove a Sanches-esque dud but on last nights evidence he looks like he might provide the bit of pace and trickery the team so desperately needs.

Possibly the best player on the pitch last night though Christie looked so impressive and Obafemi was so unlucky not to get a couple on the scoresheet.

Don't think midgets are that tall. Unless it was a 5 foot 2 midget in which case it would not be a midget.
