| Throwing Food And Coins At Blackpool Fans on 07:14 - Mar 17 by Sirjohnalot | Question is why ? There was a post the other day, think it was Bristol about a lad being assaulted as he was a pen away fan in the home end. People were justifying it, saying he shouldn’t have been there. Stand back for a second and think about that. People saying it’s ok to assault someone as they were in the wrong section in a football match. As I was walking back to my car on Saturday, this pillock from Blackpool walked up to about 6 of us and wanted a fight. We all just laughed and walked away, but this guy was my age, in his 40s. Just don’t understand why football attracts these people ? I like trying to have a chat with oppo fans on the way to and from the ground if I can, it’s a game. Never understood the anger involved. To me it’s completely bizarre, |
Fighting is as old as time and football is just the vehicle for it, its a pack mentality thing. Nothing happens at football anymore that surprises me. Why do people take drugs and die? Why do alcoholics keep drinking themselves to death? Why are youngsters stabbing each other to death? It just life and people are weird and life is weird so sh1t happens

Following the Swans in the 1970's when we had Buller and his minions spoiling games and this was reflected all over the country, at a tender age I wondered why they kept saying it is a football problem ? Same today. It is not a football problem. It is society's problem It is a self fulfilling prophecy. Treat people like animals then ( in some cases ) they behave like animals. That said, that is an insult to animals. 40 years on and still some think it is acceptable ?

Yet if you tapped their door on a Sunday morning they either wouldn't answer or would hide behind the kids. Fact.
| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Exactly my thoughts, the only thing going against that ( Birmingham City ? ) fan was the fact he should have at least knownthat these things happen at football. But the response from so called grown adults was pathetic. As for the guy in Blackpool, you should have knocked him out 😂🤪

We all used to meet up in the 4J’s Northampton lane, late seventies. Punks and skinheads etc. I was 14 / 15 I doubt he has grown up, but I wouldn’t want him to, funny bloke. Buller used to plan attacks on the away fans like a general, hilarious stuff. He must have been ten years older than me. I remember a home game v QPR, around 79.

When I started going to watch the football with my mates, some of my mates levitate towards Buller and football violence. None of them were trouble makers individually, yet they revelled in the gang mentality. Never interested me as I liked the football too much

What a stupid question. Maybe blame the Irish, because that’s where the word ‘Hooligan’ comes from. [Post edited 17 Mar 2022 19:41]

One of Swansea City’s characters, made me laugh such a lot all those years ago. Spoke to him at Leeds quite a while back when it all went mad in the car park. Proper skinhead.

What ? Contrary to what a minority at all clubs think, violence amongst football supporters is neither acceptable or a normal part of behaviour people should expect to have to tolerate when going to a football game

We speak to Mike at most home games.... He knows a lot of the Valley boys... Back to Blackpool fans a few wanted to start trouble over the weekend , there was a couple of instances, but heavily outnumbered by the Jack's staying up there in most hotels and pubs on the sea front... Overall a very good weekend

I’ve been to probably close to a thousand Swansea matches over the years and probably witnessed only a handful of serious trouble. Around 12 people per 100,000 get arrested in this country and less than 4 people per 100,000 get arrested at football, so you are probably safer at a football match than walking down the local high street

It was stupid and naive to think that out of 2,000 Swansea fans on a weekend bender in Blackpool that you won’t find antisocial behaviour of some kind.

Of course but throwing coins is downright stupid and dangerous. Different to a bit of drunken handbags and verbals

Job I do and the people I’ve represented over the years has meant that I have seen many things and have associated with some pretty seriously dangerous people and am not concerned with a bit of a anti social behaviour. Really doesn’t bother me, but throwing coins and flares is stupid and not acceptable

It was noticeable last night as well people throwing bottles towards the guy who cable tied himself to the post. Most hot the stewards and one medical staff. Behaviour is getting a lot worse.
