It's worth a read guys, how people above him on there actually allow it to go to press is laughable.

His obsession with them being the capital team is Truely cringe worthy.

Give it a read guys 😂

None of the clubs are in the capital city.?

God, he gets more and more pathetic as the years go on.

The only excuse I can come up with is that he's on the CCFC payroll. That's all that would make sense.

Cardiff city is not a bad buy at Championship prices. There are other features like the very large car park which brings in income and the park and ride facilities. The new academy would also add value.

Cardiff city has done more to engage with Welsh youth that is generally more patriotic than in days gone by. Welsh games at the Liberty have been friendlies and dismal affairs in the main. The game in Wales is n the up with even Wrexham on an upward trajectory. Newport need a new ground.

I'm sure there's an actual psychological term for the kind of mentality most Cardiff fans possess. Utterly unwilling to accept their true place in the world and waiting for their "potential" to be unleashed. Soon. Any day now. Eventually.

They're an average club in a smallish city in a division chock full of them. One of many, yet somehow considered massive only by themselves.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

The debt they're carrying makes them a poor investment. Championship clubs don't make money and they start £100m in the red. The brothers Colwill won't quite cover it.

Oh keep quiet I’ve never met one Swansea fan offended by 🐑 chants.

There are very few MTK Buadapest fans that get upset about Monkey chants. They are pretty bemused that their Ultras are not allowed to chant things that they see as "harmless fun". Its a matter of perspective.

You now know at least one fan (me) that does find it offensive. I expect Trampie and Kilkenny do as well but this topic is something they do not engage in. I am a patriot and do not like racial slurs against my people by Sass yobos. I care not a jot about the anthem or flag or Celtic FC.

The south Wales Constabulary will take it to court if it is against an officer. I (and my family) would appreciate the same protection by law as they offer themselves.

Tan will have to write the debt off to get a sale, clearly. The debt is written into the share price as he converted debt into equity thereby diluting other shareholders.

If he has converted cash into equity at £1.5m per 1% he will value the club at £150m. There will be no takers as Burnley a PL club was values at £200m. Championship clubs are worth no more than say £50-£60m maximum.

By selling he will cut his losses and take out 1/3 of what he put in. It may have had other business benefits only he knows. Raising his business profile in UK and Malaysia in economies going through a rebound. Tan bought shares in Facebook and won big time. He lost in Cardiff city. Swings and roundabouts.

The BBC has a pretty low regard for anything Welsh outside of the Culverhouse Cross, Castle Goch , and Western Ave arc.

In fact the assembly has the same regard.

The WAG is elected on proportional representation so should not be biased. They may have 'gone bush' living the good life in the wine bars of Pontcana but then you and I can throw them out on their backside every few years.

WOL-Paul Abbandanto Cardiff takeover piece today 7/4/22 on 17:43 - Apr 7 by ReslovenSwan1

I explained it in the sense of the "dehumanising" aspects. To you and me 'Monkey' chants are appalling. The the average Ferencvaros fan they are a bit of fun. Back in the days of the Vetch if the Rochdale West Indian centre back went off upset the fans would have loved it and laid it on even thicker. I was there and saw it. In those days Gareth Edwards playing "all white skinned " rugby was fine and generally supported. Apologies are thin on the ground.

I can find several example of people being charged with 'sheep related ' abuse under "disorderly racially aggravated behaviour". Please explain how these cases were prosecuted if it is like "night and day".

Sir J have you ever been face to face with someone calling you personally that barb (with your family). I have and it is not pleasant. I see no reason why I have to accept it. What anyone else does (doff their cap to Sass yobs) is up to them. I see a community living in denial.

Absolutely Sir, more than happy to try to explain why I think there's a difference.
I've prosecuted and defended many hundreds of Racially Aggravated offences over the years, the law is evolving and like the chap that was prosecuted for suggesting a police officer's horse was gay, as a hate crime, that would no longer happen.

There is a case called Harvey which involved a group of kids swearing at the police, they were convicted and it was appealed, it was held
' The only possible candidates for being the victims of harassment, alarm or distress, other than PC Challis and PCSO Mcllvaney, were the group of youngsters who gathered round during the exchanges, according to the case statement, or other neighbours. As to the group of young people, it may be inferred that they were interested in what was going on and perhaps even that they were sympathetic to the appellant and his companions rather than the police. There was, after all, a scuffle which was the subject of the charge on which Mr Harvey was acquitted. But it is wrong to infer in the absence of evidence from any of them that a group of young people who were in the vicinity would obviously have experienced alarm or distress at hearing these rather commonplace swear words used”..

Offensive language is also not enough eg, there a was a recent story where a lady was wearing a f... Boris T shirt, she was told to cover it up else face arrest, the police were completely wrong especially as it was a political rally.

Linking it to oppo fans making sheep noises. The thought of a bunch of football fans being suitably harassed at that doesn't hold water. If I was defending I would cite as singing 'Sheep sh,,, bs we know what we are'. Also the song about 'shooting Cardiff scum' also shows that the crowd isn't one to be easily offended (that would be a far stronger candidate for a PO offence, but again, in the context of football, it is different.

Context is all important. I find it embarrassing, and I never join in the anti English songs, stupid ? yes. Racist ? No.

If however, some football fans were to go into a restuarant after the games and started making sheep noises at a Welsh waitress, that would be completely different, different context, offence proved.

Welsh people have not had the centuries of oppression black people have suffered, we don't get killed for being Welsh. No comparison

I do not represent "us" I am an individual with individual values. Wales and sheep farming go together like lamb and roast potatoes. An inflatable sheep is nothing at all.

It is timid of you to focus on this harmless fun aspect. I focus on the up close and personal where you might catch a bit of phlegm in your eye off a far right yobo out of his head on something or another, engaging in "racially aggravated disorderly conduct". It is not pleasant.

That article has annoyed me and has now prompted me to do another 'who's the bigger Club' post. Whether you like it or not .

I think it was Chief responded to a post of mine when talking about attendances in another thread where he said that the Cardiff Metropolitan Area had a population of about 1 million whereas the Swansea Metropolitan area pop was 320,000. Which on the face of it makes the Swans look like a minnow compared with our illustrious neighbours.

So I looked at this Cardiff Met area on Wikipedia. It included Newport (who have their own reasonable team as far as i'm aware), all the valleys, up North to include Merthyr and West to include Bridgend. Meanwhile the Swansea Met area included Neath/PT and up as far as Ystradgynlais.

So the Cardiff Met Area includes towns 23 miles to the North (Merthyr) and West (Bridgend). But last time I looked Merthyr and Bridgend are also 23 miles from Swansea. So in theory they are all within the Swansea catchment. And as it happens there were Merthyr and Mountain Ash Jacks flags at the CCS last week.

None of the Neath valley is included in the Swansea figure and if you look West the Swansea Met area referred to by Chief doesn't even include Llanelli. And what about Burry Port, Kidwelly, Ammanford, Llandeilo and Carmarthen. All small places by themselves but substantial numbers together.

And, of course the Swans have got all of West Wales, barring some bloke called Steve from Pembroke.

I take on board your points about the geographical areas included in what it terms as 'metropolitan', it was just the result of a quick Google search.

But you seem to have misinterpreted the ethos of my post. The point was that Cardiff despite having access to a substantially larger population that would realistically watch them (but they can't or aren't going to convert to regular fans effectively) does NOT make them at all 'illustrious'. In fact the opposite. It should be an embarrassment.

Whereas Swansea in population terms I'd say is a minnow in comparison with other football clubs.

I actually think that BOTH underachieve in terms of fans. We're both afflicted with the plastic stench supporting the big Saes teams.

Places like Sunderland make us both look bad.

What he says is probably factually correct, Cardiff being the Capital City probably are attractive to foreign buyers who could be sold the dream of buying a club in the capital city, a stadium where the National team play, only a bridge to cross to England, and it has to be said a pretty cool City to visit, eat, Cardiff Bay, especially is very European.

We, geographically, are more isolated, a treck to get too, a more beautiful City but, I don't think, not so great for eating out, location to the the main centre etc.

Fan base point doesn't make sense, I'm an exile but I wouldn't support Cardiff if they were in the Premiership, even if we were non league, but casual foreign fans ? Yes no doubt, but so did we when we went up. We also showed that we could stabilise, only a series of crazy buys then chasing losses, sent us back down again.

We can sell ourselves on the beauty of the area, and what is more, our brand of football, we were everyone's second team when we went up, there's no reason why we cannot do it again. As I've said all season, we need to give this guy a chance (despite me being majorly peeved off in Blackpool) , a decent summer, couple of players who can play the system, next year, we could be deadly.

Bit of a daft article, sounds like fluff trying to write something positive after last Saturday's fun and games

Trust the Process

PS I don't really care if BBC Wales ignore us, I was brought up watching Neath, anti establishment. We're obviously winding them up, let's make it so they cannot ignore us

I went to Cardiff for the Czech Republic game and I thought the city centre was very impressive. But walking to the ground you could be forgiven for thinking you were walking through downtown Mariupol. Nearly every window either smashed or boarded up, huge piles of rubble in the middle of the road, saw a bloke rummaging through a big biffa bin thing. There was one house with about 100 bags of rubbish piled up outside. It was filthy with a vague smell of shit in the air.

Love the last sentence, almost poetic.
I was referring to the Principality, I've not been to Cardiff's ground since it was rebuilt. Assume it is where Ninian used to be ?

WoL has in my opinion no bias against Swansea city. Naturally WoL Cardiff writers promote Cardiff (Abandonatto) just as their Swansea writers promote Swansea (Micthelmore).

The big difference between Liverpool / Man City and Swansea a is that their fans do not give a fig about the London media.

The BBC has a pretty low regard for Welsh football in general due to a lack of coverage. Women rugby fulfils their remit of supporting minority interests. Ellis James is well to the fore these days with Wales and Swansea.

If Tan wants to let us go, he will have to take the loss that HE and his band of jokers (CEO) have drummed up. They clearly haven’t got a clue how to run a football club. The debt to Tan is down to 60 million, he made more from selling his shares in LA fc I believe? Not to mention f book.
