Martin is not stupid from what i can see. He may be governed by a defining dogma but he knows he is kidding himself in saying Swansea had any control on Saturday. He may have lost his soulmate (assistant Williams) from a resistance to adaptation.

Playing out from the back (as one part of it) is not rocket science. I have seen u19 teams from Croatia and other European nations do it and it is done by numerous continental teams. Swansea must always endeavour to play easy on the eye possession football. It is in the DNA of the club and played throughout the age group levels.

The team at Swansea need to pick the bones out of Martinball and make it more resilient. Martin ball subject to development. Winter has to decide with his new DoF if this is best served by retaining Martin or moving on.

Peoplie choose to ignore it but we played out from the back under Cooper too.

We didn't even play out from midfield in the playoffs last season.

The thing is we are playing out from the back but the ball spends far too long in defence. By the time we get the ball forwards the oppo goalkeepers need waking up.
