| Connor Roberts on 07:35 - May 23 with 1227 views | Dr_Parnassus | Conner is a wing-back, he never impressed me as a full back. If we are switching to a back four (which we absolutely should) then he is not really an option in my view. Less focus on pace and athleticism, and more on technique and intelligence such as Rangel is what we should be looking for. | |

| Connor Roberts on 07:31 - May 23 by sP7qupUf | I honestly do not see the obsession on this site with resigning former players. When they've gone they are gone. Move on. Roberts, Joe Allen, the list increases all the time. Look at the results from Bony and Ayew. |
A men It says it all that we pine or even think about players -employees-that simply change jobs. We are so desperately sentimental proven by looking to sign players effectively past their best. That goes back many years.

Agree in principle but getting Connor and Allen, two current Welsh internationals is different. If it could happen ( not saying it will ) it would be fantastic

It doesn’t matter if they’re a former legend or played 100 games for Cardiff. If they still have the quality, within the price, wage etc, then surely they should be looked at ?
| Connor Roberts on 09:58 - May 23 with 1124 views | Best_loser | Assuming Wales qualify , if Roberts has a good world cup I would expect a few premier league clubs being interested , clubs like Leicester and Leeds , Brighton , I wouldn't have thought he would want to come back here yet | | | |
| Connor Roberts on 10:09 - May 23 with 1103 views | builthjack | Ideal replacement for Luke Ayling at Leeds, who is almost 31 and entering the final year of his 8k a week contract. They could get Roberts for about £5m perhaps, on reasonable wages. He is step up from Ayling. | |

I agree with that jon. If you reflect, however, you will see the logic for my post. I can go back to Ivor coming "home" when we was legendary, loved by all but well well past his best. It was like watching a prize bull being chopped down by the thug players of that era

Totally agree! Why sign a player just because he used to play here? If we sell Piroe for a decent fee then we need a new striker to replace him. Not a right back, just because he did OK in the past for us

In Roberts case it’s more like wishful thinking. We are football fans we can always dream 👠

We do need a right back though. Piroe's not even been playing up front for us.

| Connor Roberts on 08:00 - Mar 16 with 394 views | Dr_Winston | He's a player who matured a hell of a lot in a short space of time. During the peak period when Naughton was the scapegoat of choice for most, a lot of people were demanding that Roberts take his place, even though he was clearly nowhere near as good a RB as Kyle was at the time. I suspect quite a bit of that got to his head and he started playing like he already had it made, becoming a liability at times. At some point in about 2019 the penny really dropped with him and he kicked on significantly, becoming an excellent RWB and very capable RB, if still not quite as good as Naughts in the latter position. Glad to see him doing well. | |
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |
