Yes that's it . Russia's calling on Kosovo to respect the Serbs living there , with Kosovo’s new rules on the reissuance of personal documents and license plates for local Serbs constitute another step toward their expulsion from Kosovo," claimed Maria Zakharova, spokeswoman for Russia’s Foreign Ministry." with NATO promising to intervene things are heating up.

I think you have got that one wrong again after the death of tito Serbia under Slobodan Milosevic, a convicted war criminal, wanted to create a greater Serbia. This directly lead to the secession of Slovenia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia. This led to the Civil war in the early 1990s Kosovo a mainly Muslim province of Serbia declared independence from Serbia which resulted in attempts by Serbia to ethnically cleanse Kosovo. This led directly in the intervention of NATO and the United Nations to place Kosovo under UN protection and the bombing of Serbia until they agree to grant independence to all the countries involved.

Serbia hand in glove with Russia throughout history. Serbs were the main defendants in The Hague

i'm referring to the start of ww1, when the Serbs wanted to break away from the Austro Hungarian empire, and the Austrians then gave Serbia an ultimatum and terms that they could not possibly fulfill, This was seen as probably the beginning of ww1 Serbia didn't exist during ww2, it was part of Yugoslavia, but may Serbs fought for both sides, it get's complicated I don't like the Serbs either, they seem to spell trouble
| Kosovo v Serbia on 12:36 - Aug 1 with 2141 views | majorraglan | Could the Russians be agitating and stirring things up behind the scenes to try and sow seeds of discord and conflict in Europe to try and weaken resolve in relation to Ukraine? Some media sites were carrying stories claiming Wagner mercenaries and a Libyan general were encouraging migrants from Africa to cross to Italy to stir up discontent. There are also stories circulating that an Italian political party who recently were until recently part of the coalition government having withdrawn their support for the PM on account of influence exerted by Moscow, the allegations are that the Russians have illicitly funded party members. Money corrupts which is why we need good governance, strong laws and a zero tolerance to corruption and wrong going. | | | |

Didn't Milosevic use the excuse that ethnic Serbs were being persecuted and massacred in Kosovo....think I might have heard something similar before.

It's possible they are trying to counter NATOs shit stirring and also Pelosi going to Taiwan to antagonise the Chinese and create another proxy war. This kind of thing is standard during any conflict and nothing new at all

Always the first excuse used by dictators to invade another country, Hitler, Stallin, Mao se Tung, Milosovic , Putin. Seems to be a common thread.

Nast ppl indeed, but Hitler would be above Stalin Today, after two decades of access to Eastern European archives, and thanks to the work of German, Russian, Israeli, and other scholars, we can resolve the question of numbers. The total number of noncombatants killed by the Germans–about 11 million–is roughly what we had thought. The total number of civilians killed by the Soviets, however, is considerably less than we had believed. We know now that the Germans killed more people than the Soviets did. That said, the issue of quality is more complex than was once thought. Mass murder in the Soviet Union sometimes involved motivations, especially national and ethnic ones, that can be disconcertingly close to Nazi motivations. It turns out that, with the exception of the war years, a very large majority of people who entered the Gulag left alive. Judging from the Soviet records we now have, the number of people who died in the Gulag between 1933 and 1945, while both Stalin and Hitler were in power, was on the order of a million, perhaps a bit more. The total figure for the entire Stalinist period is likely between two million and three million. The Great Terror and other shooting actions killed no more than a million people, probably a bit fewer. The largest human catastrophe of Stalinism was the famine of 1930—1933, in which more than five million people died.

Uncle Joe,helluva guy. Took properties of the people away from them for the glory of Russian State . Killed a few million but it was probably down the the west .They must have antagonised them . Churchill had his number which is why Ike s delay in getting to Berlin first created the Iron Curtain behemoth, the one Contro loved. Still,Putin doing his best to retrieve the old lands that bowed the knee

Intervention to help independent countries from invasion by hostile forces after they request help is fine by me Iraq invaded Kuwait I remember and the United Nations took the decision to ask forces from USA ,UK and other European countries to remove them Tony Blairs illegal war to invade Iraq was of course misjudged and wrong . It is rather Ironic when free minded people can freely citise and disagree while Russia's stooges try to justify every illegal action and war crime crimes they commit. It is also ironic that there is no free media in Russia or a right for tyr Russian people to disagree with Putin.
