McBurnie still under investigation, Brewster cleared.
Not sure if he’s injured though.

If McBurnie has all his 'off field' issues under control with developing maturity he could be a good prospect at the end of the season when he is out of contract. A risky option but it could be dealt with with a specially designed contract.

Police should not be wasting their time on such a trivial matter where no one was hurt.

You are right but complaints have been made, they have no choice.

Possibly a public order offence, it’s not an affray, not a common assault, also can’t see public interest

Thirteen complaints recorded by the police, where does that leave them ?

As you know, there are complaints and there’s statements. No evidence of any injury or physical contact, assume no statement from the bloke who came on the pitch as he’d be looking at a football banning order, so no apprehension of violence.

Was anyone genuinely caused alarm and distress ? How ? From the telly. From the stands ? Had to be close enough to be caused alarm, so they must be on the pitch.

Even if charged, it surely be a trial.

Problem with RUI, it’s not bail, it’s a complete no man’s land.

Ah sorry, misread your original post, thought you said ‘released under investigation’.

Guess they’re still trying to locate witnesses, or gone to cps. Can’t see how it gets past public interest test. Clear self defence

A focussed 28 year old McBurnie maybe, so much to learn, it’s a shame.
Mind you he is 26 now !

In theory, placing a Nazi symbol aligned with a gay pride symbol would be clear breach of the law. As ever I’m talking legally and not my personal view. He’d struggle to defend this one.

if it was a clear breach of some ridiculous law ( honestly, someone became anxious because they viewed an image which wasn't pornographic, images of mutilation etc ) all I can add is that the law is an ass . Its pity the police can't find time to investigate burglaries, assault etc but seem to have an infinite amount of resources ( 7 officers in this particular case) when it comes to someones feelings being hurt .

It will be more than that. The origins of the images, the ip addresses then remember nothing can ever be erased from a computer unless you set fire to it. And then it’s possibly retrievable. Cloud storage as well. The software the police have is unbelievable in detecting stuff. There was a case last year I recall that was similar, it led to a murder conviction from a basic report of mutilated images. Logging these images and referencing so they are admissible as evidence then trawling the unused material is a job in itself.

They will need an investigating officer, exhibits officer, unused material officer, a supervising officer, generally a sgt, depending on the length or importance of the inquiry, and that’s just for starters.

I understand your reasoning, but there is always a bigger picture.

Every contact leaves a trace.
