Not at all, his quality is obvious. Looked elite when he was on loan with us, probably one of the most talented players I’ve seen. I said it on game 1. He’s special.

| Gibbs White on 21:29 - Aug 18 by vetchonian | Again you get your facts wrong Waddle was a fairly low cost investment when we were in the old Third division Waddle was bought along with keeper Geoff Crudginton for £54000 that was the price paid for both the record signing was Colin Irwin £350000 we did go bust but mainly as a result of building the East stand....coupled with the cost of being in tbhe first divisdion with div 2 crowds Martin has had over 12 months and still cant sort out the defence astoniishing given he was a defender himself! |
Yes I mixed up Waddle with Max Thompson perhaps?. Times plays tricks. The facts I sometime get wrong are incidentals. The defence was ok at Rotherham. Two players let him down at Oxford Benda and Congreve. Martin has gone for a very young centre back group. Bringing Sorinola is another in a series of transfer blunders it seems.

No different to when Brighton get relegated. Where did you see they had a salary bill of £65m? You seem to have ignored that one. [Post edited 19 Aug 2022 13:52]

I thought we were playing the game where the Martin fanatics and the non Martin fanatics were all the same poster? But yes the £65m bill is nonsense. Probably half.

Our wage bill was above £65m when we were in the Prem Wasn't it around 80% of income? | | | | Login to get fewer ads

It was, that’s what happens when you stay there for 7 years. Costs spiral to a point where even a reserve goalkeeper is on Premier League wages of 15k+. Forest were promoted with a salary budget of around £22m including loan signings of Keinan on 45k a week at his parents club. About £18m without them. If someone can add £50m a year onto that by writing out where, then they would start to see how ludicrous such a suggestion is. £35m-£40m would probably be roughly about right. Brighton have a salary budget of £45m roughly and they have spent about 4 times that of Forest, paying the likes of 34 year old Adam Lallana almost 100k a week. [Post edited 19 Aug 2022 14:48]
