Noticed a lot of people moaning about football being called off and in general that we should just get on with things.
I wonder if those same people will be going to work on the 19th or taking advantage of having a day off.

Tbh Cat, I want to work because I want to miss all the palaver.
I'm a republican and im hoping this event is the beginning of the end of the monachy, as you can see with my lack of posts I've been respectful, i respect other peoples opinions and therefore i expect my opinion to also be respected.
If i was at the game i wouldn't boo the anthem if it was played, i would stay in the concorse, no way should it be played because it would be booed |

There was a Swans supporter on YouTube who occasionally does watchalongs, he was crying that it’s not fair people who rely on these games to make money (he is lucky if he makes a tenner a match) should be “punished” and it’s disgraceful
Needless to say I have unsubscribed, there is pathetic and then there is this numpty, the world doesn’t end because you can’t watch overpaid idiots (more often than not) kick a ball around

I'm between a rock and a hard place, there is no way I wan't a day off next Monday as I'm as Anti Royal as you can get, I have spoken to my customer and he has no problem with me working on his roof on Monday, however I employ 2 people, 1 self employed, and like myself want's to work that day and the other a young lad employed direct, who, surprisingly, has become a Royal fanatic and want's the day off( to go on the piss with his mates). When I explained to him that although I would give him the day off but was under no obligation to pay him Iv'e become the biggest w****** in the world and all his mates are getting paid for the day and so should he, so, here is my dilemma, do I, against all my principles, pay him, because he's a good lad and very hard working? If I do pay him I would feel obligated to pay the other fella to keep harmony in the camp and therefore have to have the day off myself, which I dont want to do. Thoughts? |
If he is a good hard working lad then worth paying him.

Not sure how you would define "better", if you mean better educated , better opportunities in life , better bank balance and all that brings then I'd have to say yes they're most of populations so called "betters" , but as a person then no and how could they just because of their status in life . | |

I am not keen on our monarchy and how excessive it is but Monarchy in itself has merits. I well remember the King of the Netherlands at a Veterans open day swanning about the field with just one chap in attendance.
My son swam, along with others ,with his wife ,the Queen, in an Amsterdam canal swim for charities.Wilhem Alexander and his missus are laid back and very unfussy. You would be staggered at their relatively modest for monarchy home outside the Hague. | |
