We have just lost 1-0 at home to Sheff Utd, anyone who was there or seen the whole 90mins will understand this.
So it's the morning after we have lost the game, one of my staff a fellow Swansea fan, he hasn't seen any of the game and he claims that we are in trouble and will be in the relegation zone come the end of October as we have a tough run of games coming up.
I state to him that we were unlucky not to win and we played really well and aside from 1 or 2 games have been playing well and I am confident it will click and we will be fine.
My point is, there has been a lot of over reactions with situations and the possession debate is the same......the possession thing works when it needs and Martin has adapted a team capable of adapting to different teams and they play but keeping the principles of being comfortable with the ball and passing without cheaply giving it away.
Its been a foundation built and will continue to be so, it requires patience and understanding. |  |

The system is adaptable now. Most of the time we vary short, intricate passing with the quicker, riskier transitions that are more likely to lose us possession, but also much more effective as defenders don’t have the time to get back into position.
We can play similarly to the old way if a team parks the bus and we can’t transition through them quickly as everyone is behind the ball.
Crucially, even in the second scenario, we don’t mess around in our own box or insist on a short pass when the ball just needs to be cleared. Conceding stupid goals like that was an even bigger problem than our pedestrian build up play until recently, although both were huge concerns. | | | |

I’ve enjoyed a couple of games this season that we haven’t won.
It all depends if you really love football and can appreciate a good opposition performance and that we have performed well and come off second best.
