Ill watch carefully from now on as well, always seems to pass backwards for someone else to cross when I watch him.
That said as you can probably tell I'm not a fan.
I’m not either. It’s all he seems to have in his locker and it’s nowhere near enough.
I think he’s actually better on the left as he can check back onto his right foot and cross, albeit it comes in from a harder angle to attack. On the right, he has to beat his man or get a yard of space a la Beckham. Neither of which he can do.
In a past game Congreve took a defender on beat him with skill drove on into the box and put the ball into the six yard box for Manning to score which type of cross do you prefer, even Cooper seem to get more joy at attacking defenders in the wide position and by the time Sorinola puts a cross in the defence tends to be comfortably set up to nullify any threat. Oko Flex drove a cross in from the right that couldn't be dealt with from which Cooper scored in a past game. I know which type of crosses I prefer.

How about the cross for Mannings volley against Hull?
As I’ve alluded to in earlier posts. It’s not enough to justify the game time he is getting IMO, but only fair to give him credit for something he actually does well.

Exactly! That was a diabolical cross completely overnight as usual way over (3 feet?) the 3 strikers he was aiming at. Watch it again- he had awareness whatsoever of Mannings blind side run I would guess as a person Sorinola is a lovely lady, as a footballer he's National League standard

That’s pretty subjective and I don’t agree at all.
There weren’t 3 strikers in the box, just Piroe, with Cooper, who realises he’s a bit close to Piroe and moves towards Sorinola, presumably for a pass rather than a cross.
He looks up just before crossing. He’d have know where all three players were.
You can choose to believe he put it that much over Piroes head and it just happened to drop into the run Manning was making if you want. For me, that’s a bit disingenuous. And I don’t want him in the team either.

Yes. I can’t think of anyone in our squad who crosses better than him. Now it’s been pointed out you’ll notice it.
Why thank you flower but I'd rather trust my own eyes.
In that particular game against Hull, the crossing from Sorinola (and indeed Fulton as well) in the first half was garbage, They were hitting the first opposition player with the ball again and again and again.
If I was Piroe or Obafemi ,I'd be throwing punches in that dressing room from the dire service that are receiving from him and others.

Grimesy does that with virtually every set piece never mind crossing whist on the run and he's the Captain.
The last 5 games Sorinola started right wing back we won 4/5 and the one loss was last minute winner. Now that Joel L is back the results are looking different.

Think Sorinola is the better option at Wingback than Lati especially when Woods plays in the right back(no sorry the right side of the three centrebacks) position You could say after Latibeaudie return from his shoulder injury and then the loss of Manning we played both Latibeaudie and Sorinola on opposite sides and we lost all attacking intent down both sides no matter how much Cooper, Cundle or Ntcham tried to encourage us forward. If the wingbacks start deep after doing their defensive duties there should be space on the wings to exploit which neither Sorinola or Latibeaudie have the pace and experience to do. Maybe time to give Naughton a start as a wingback because he certainly has the experience if not the pace and could sit in front of Woods if he needs it. Only a suggestion as he knows where the penalty area is🙂
