| Joe Allen. Think he cares...for us or Wales? on 20:04 - Nov 27 with 1476 views | onehunglow | Me first Was a very good player. Not now Should never have been brought back He is exactly the same as Grimes ,only scruffier. He is an international that Grimes will never be He should not have travelled He should not have been on the pitch He is a sentimental subject to post over | |

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Moot point Professional Footballers care about one thing and one thing only, Money. It’s a job . Nothing else comes close [Post edited 28 Nov 2022 8:45]

| Joe Allen. Think he cares...for us or Wales? on 09:14 - Nov 28 with 1156 views | majorraglan | I think he cares for both. Family has to come first, Joe Allen has to secure his long term financial stability first and foremost. Once that’s done he can then pick and chooses what he wants to do. If reports are to be believed there were numerous other offers on the table last summer (including one from Stoke) and most of them would probably have been in a position to offer higher wages than Swansea. Coming back to Swansea tells me he loves the club. He’s a passionate Welshman and loves Wales, playing at the WC is a once in a lifetime opportunity so why shouldn’t he try his best to achieve what for most people would be the summit of their professional ambition. | | | |

I don’t agree there R. I think once they are secure it comes down to achievement. I bet Allen would have sacrificed a whole lotta money to appear in the WC for Wales to be fair. The problem with him is, as you say his fitness. Back to 100% and he’ll be an asset for the Swans. It’s whether he can get to that level or not is the question.

Nonsense. Do you think that Bale and Ramsey etc are out in the World Cup for money? What about the England players? Should they somehow win the World Cup they will be immortalised by the press and public, knighthoods will be handed out like confetti, they will be spoken about for the next 100 years. Lose and they will be forgotten about within 5 years of retiring.

Exactly. Bale supposedly loved Cardiff and didn't need the money. Yet he chose fun in the sun in LA and more money. Bale loves Wales but not Cardiff Joe loves both

Even making cameo appearances he will add a lot of value for Swans. 100% would be phenomenal

Exactly. For the 14 current or ex Swans players ( including Roberto Martinez ) at the WC it is the pinnacle of their careers.

Think he is saying all players are taking part for the achievement of playing in a WC Finals and potentially for some to claim footballing immortality as winners of the trophy The last will apply to one team, for the rest it is being able to say they played at a WC Finals. That is same for all nations
