And more importantly will RM revert it ASAP. It was great spending large parts of the game in the oppositions half. [Post edited 31 Dec 2022 12:25]

| Swansea City v Watford : Match day thread UPDATED ! on 11:55 - Dec 31 by krunchykarrot | We looked much better set up last night, but i couldnt help thinking what we would have done to them with a pacy player like Scot Sinclair. Lets hope Cooper and Cullen have given Piroe the boost required. |
We got behind them a number of times out wide by playing quick balls but agree we need a bit of pace in the team although we have Oko-Flex and Obgeta that don't get used as often as they should, maybe if we have a back four more often they might get game time.

We still played a number of goal kicks but with four at the back when the midfield received the ball they had more option to be able to pass or turn with ball. Didn't think Watfords press was very effective either didn't really commit players to it.

Posted before i listened to RM post match Interview. reading between the lines he has run out of patience and has had a t*t full with certain players. He obviously doesnt think Oko-Flex and Obgeta are good enough, time will prove him right or wrong i suppose. I thought that the Joel snippet about Cullen was a damming indictment.
| Swansea City v Watford : Match day thread UPDATED ! on 12:33 - Dec 31 with 1016 views | Dr_Winston | We huffed and we puffed in the first half without creating an awful lot. We looked more solid with a back four and a bit snappier all across the park but we didn't play brilliantly in the first 45. The second half was better, but the fact that Watford basically threw on two extra forwards leaving them unbalanced played a big part in us scoring so many late goals. Not every manager will be as accommodating. | |
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Yeh i agree Doc, but we defended from the front with Cooper and Cullen, lost count how many fouls Watford commited first half. I think we look better balanced as well defending, now all we need to do is learn to put our laces through it when required. and get our CH attacking the ball at set pieces not holding hands. I also would have added bringing down cynically any player that deems a threat but that looked to have been sorted out at long last. Watford were rather obliging to say the least, dont know what the hell is going on there but Bilic has a massive job on his hand with injuries anda financially unbalanced squad which always causes issues.

Sorry I try not to listen too often the post match press conferences bit long wind and repeatetivec at times so will have to see what the Joel snippet about Cullen is about. May not have to worry about Oko-Flex much longer.

Sorry but I thought we we as good in the first half as the second , much better going forward and whenever we threatened on the left it was either a free kick to us into a dangerous area or balls across the box , that continued after Piroe's 1st goal with the keeper just holding onto the ball on the line after a toe poke by Grimes .

Joel told RM that he thought Cullen would be good, or words to that effect.

Martin revealed the 23-year-old has been keen to operate alongside Cullen having trained well with the academy product. "Joel Piroe actually said to me this week 'Liam Cullen is good for me'," revealed Martin. "I think you can see why and you can understand why. They have a really nice connection already and hopefully they can keep on building that."

Cullen working with Piroe and not in competition with, both players and the team benefitting. Ayew and Lowe started out well but seemed to be in competition with each other to score the most goal in the end to the detriment of the team.
