Many have said that we have a top 6 team.
Never in a million years.
How many, if we got promoted, would be able to cut it in the Premier league. One ? Two at most.
Todays team for example -
Fisher - League 1 player
Latibeudiere - Bottom half Champioship
Manning - Mid table Championship
Cabango - Mid table Chapmpionship
Wood - Mid Table Champioship
Cooper Mid table Championship, will improve.
Grimes - Top half Championship
Sorinola - Bottom half Championship
Jay Fulton - Top,half Championship
Luke Cundle - Top half Championship
Joel Piroe - Botton third Premier/ top third Championship

If anyone thinks they are better than that say so.
I am basing it on this seasons performances. I have only attended 16 games this season but have seen enough to justify the above. We have a team of bang average players.
We have sold everyone worth anything, Obafemi and Piroe will be next, if the owners get £6 - £8 million for the pair they will be happy.

A bleak future awaits.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

We should at least be in a shout of finishing in the playoffs, yet we are languishing as outside relegation candidates.
Luton and Millwall are up there with arguably much worse players than ourselves.

We have three players Fisher, Latibeaudiere and Sorinola who should never be anywhere near the starting 11 of a Championship team.

Don't think there's many players in the squad who couldn't at least do a job for a Championship side, even if just as a squad option. Singling players out given the conditions they're playing under doesn't help anyone.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

That’s an interesting viewpoint. Genuine question, what is it exactly that you see in our squad that is better than say Millwall or Luton ?

It is more likely that our good run earlier in the season was a fluke, down to luck or just poor displays by the opposition rather than what so many believe is our level. The league table doesn’t lie at this stage of the season. We have a poor squad by Championship standards & a coach who is getting it wrong just about every week. Last season we had 2 good runs of results & finished bottom half. We lack consistency because we are just not good enough across the board. The only consistency that we have is giving away soft goals by poor defending & flawed game plans

It's my opinion that when you look at the starting XIs of the three sides, how many would be brought in from the other two.
They are pretty average sides, but they differ from us in that they play to what they've got.
I'd think that if they were offered both of those sides would snap our hands off if they were offered 7 or 8 of our players. I'm not sure how many you could say the same for the other way.

I feel sorry for some of the boys at the back, they aren't natural ball players and lack the ability to play out from the back under the pressure they get. Yet every week they in my opinion are being coached into it time and time again. We have a number of square pegs worked into round holes, half of that is down to Martins ineptitude at building a cohesive squad. (How can you have a side without one player with any real pace, or any true wide player).

My point is, they are not squad options they are first team starters. Nearly a third of the team and all in defence, no wonder we are not near the top 6. I'm not defending the manager because he should be gone, but our defence is nowhere near play off quality.

Simple Benda.

Whilst I would agree the loss of Benda is huge he didnt get injured until Jnauary against QPR yet we started struggling before then just after the Cardiff win ( against 10 men)

I don’t know enough about players of either Luton or Millwall & somewhat agree that they didn’t really look anything other than average against us. They only need to be average to have a good chance of getting a result though. Luton have beaten us twice & Millwall miraculously got a draw at our ground. What does that say about us ?

Other than possibly Piroe & Grimes I don’t see any clubs snapping our hands off for 7 or 8 of our players. Fully agree about Martin’s ineptitude, lack of cohesion, lack of pace, square pegs etc. However I see many of our players to be far less than average standard for Championship football & there is abundant evidence to support this. How much of that is down to Martin will always be debatable. Other opinions are of course available

Too true mate, everyone is free to have their own opinions. Well maybe not too mental ones haha.

I do think on a whole that the standard in the championship is pretty poor this year, only Burnley really stand out as above the rest.

I think it's probably a done deal that Martin will go and many of these players will be here next season, I'm hoping a new manager will be able to get them playing.
