There was conflict behind the scenes culminating in the January transfer window. The board say they were willing to invest in the squad but felt that the options provided by Martin and the transfer team didn't make business sense to them. Alternatively as Martin was on the way out they didnt want players he wanted that the new man might not want. In the meantime work was undertaken to find a new manager. Kevin Muscat stories. We go on a winning run and Martin's star rises. Instead of sacking Martin owners now getting compensation for him and his team. Issue- Martin knows our recruitment targets, also the contract details of key players such as Piroe, Grimes and Wood, what will encourage them to move and what the board probably value them at. Am I keeping up?

Dr used to be a decent poster but his blinkered one eye view is getting boring. Always thinks he is right but more often than not his judgement lets him down.

Actually I agree with FB there. Pato and Oba are bth troublemakers and we should haveF'd them off, Pato should never have been given another chance and lets face it, he was rubbish on his return anyway. That was Martin's mistake, he was too soft on them. Oh, and sticking with his process for those 21 games that cost us dearly, that was another of his mistakes, after changing then reverting then finally seeing sense...the bloke let us down but some love him? Goodbye, good luck and good riddance. Lets hope we get a decent manager in to replace him and not someone who sticks by something that doesn't work. Or, I suppose we could end up with someone genuinely useless n matter what they try. Anything is possible.

It seems the effect he’s had on our fans is almost identical to that he had on MK Dons fans. He managed to hoodwink some but others saw right through him.

I would say the old forum flakeys from old weren’t that happy with him. But the majority were, doesn’t matter now anyway. He gave a lot more people hope than he didn’t. So it goes.

If it is Muscat I wonder what kind of reception he will get at Legoland after what he did to Craig Bellamy. From Bellamy's Wiki page: "In December 1998, Bellamy suffered an injury to his left knee following a high challenge by Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Kevin Muscat that ruled him out for two months and left him with a puncture wound in his kneecap caused by one of Muscat's studs. The tackle caused so much consternation that Rioch had to be physically restrained by his coaching staff while Bellamy's Norwich teammate Iwan Roberts later admitted taking revenge on Muscat by stamping on his back when the pair met in a match two years later. Bellamy continued to experience soreness in the knee after his return for the remainder of the season but ended the campaign with a career high 19 goals in all competitions".
