Personally, I thought CD was a perfect fit for us according to reports on here, ie. “We are aiming high” and he was young and hungry to step up to be a manager. So was he the “Aiming high” candidate ? Or maybe s there a plan B?

| Same old, same old with these owners on 17:46 - Jun 17 by swan_si | where have I stated " it's all been the last 3 managers that's at fault"? Or even indicated it. Again, where have I stated " the owners can do no wrong " . You're sounding rather mad max. ( sorry, couldn't resist) 😉 The EPL would be nice, but sustainability in the championship is fine by me. |
We agree on something eventually then, happy days, I'm gonna have a beer to celebrate the occasion

| Same old, same old with these owners on 18:01 - Jun 17 by Whiterockin | When they bought into the club their stake was about £60M for 60%. That was the consortium of 32 investment. They have since invested more from convertible loans. Their shareholding has since been diluted and is probably currently worth at best £30M probably less. This will be diluted again if more investment is forthcoming, due to dilution. Every year we stay in the Championship we lose between £10-15M. There is no time for baby steps or they will never get their money back even if promoted. Personally I'm enjoying the championship and have more patience than the owners. |

I was under the impression not a penny of the 60 million went to the club but to the old owners? I am hoping that there are new guys coming on board with further investment that the club will benifit from, and some one with uk knowledge of how football works over here, we have had 3 managers who i think with a bit of extra help got the club back to the prem and they could have made not only the 60 mill but a bit more, we got to 2 playoff semifinals won won and lost the final , and we will never know with that little extra help we may have got there, Cooper was so disalousiond he wanted out, Potter nearly walked before he left for Brighton now R M is on his way and they cannot even sort that out

It is not that complicated. The club ownership is in the form of shares. The actual number of shares in circulation is listed in Companies House. The Americans bought 69% of all the available shares to take control of the club. The Trust held a certain number of shares accounting for 21% of the total. Their number of shares has never changed since 2002 I would guess. When Silverstein came along he wanted to own a certain percentage of the club perhaps 8%. He could have bought 8% of the Trust's shares. The money in this case would have gone to the Trust not the club. Instead they issued new shares at a cheap price. The Trust could have bought some of them but presumably declined preferring to keep cash getting near zero interest, Because new shares were issued the money went to the club not the Trust and therefore help the club. The new £10m invested from Morris and co is also the result of issuing new shares as I understand it so the Trust, Mr Morgan and Jenkins, Silverstein and Levein group have all presumably been diluted. Diluted in terms of % ownership but they still own the same number of shares as they did in 2017. Dilution occurs when new shares are issued (good for the club). Dilution of the Trust is bad for the Trust and good for the club. It is a difficult concept for fans to understand. The Trust claim a 5% holding is fixed and cannot be diluted further. This would be an excellent result. Too good to be true perhaps?. People on PS say only the voting right are not subject to dilution and they would not get 5% of any dividend payment for example in the future and would not get 5% of the ultimate sale price. i am not clear on this. This case is some way in the future as the US people would need to invest a lot of money to dilute the Trust to under 5%. (another £50m maybe?) You would think members would know and care about these fine details. They do not. This is why the organisation is no good. Democracy is no good if all the voters are asleep. Football managers are like fat guys at the open buffet. They will eat all they can and take food back only for later to put in the food recycling bin. Potter and Cooper were sulking at Swansea and when given their way wasted hundreds of millions of pounds. Jesse Lingaard anyone? What Potter was doing at Chelsea was anyone's guess. He abdicated responsibility for his signings. He wasted the £7m given to him at Swansea, [Post edited 18 Jun 2023 18:39]
