Swansea midfielder on his way out ? 5th Jul 2023 07:17
Frenchman Olivier Ntcham could be on his way out of Swansea City with numerous inquiries being fielded for the Cameroon international midfielder. Once again rumours of firm bids are inaccurate but it is expected they will follow over the coming weeks. 1

Hope he stays, if not and we receive a decent fee and free up a good chunk of wages I hope the board revisit offering Piroe a fresh contract. Give him a bumper pay rise, 3 year deal with a minimum fee release clause to kick in from next year (£14-20m)

That way we get to keep him for a minimum of another 12 months and likely to be able to profit in 12/24 months time.

Not sure if he'd be interested, but maybe he can be swayed by the fact that (a) it doesn't appear that there are a number of Premier League clubs lining up at the moment and (b) he'll be guaranteed game time with us to continue to develop. He's still young so time is on his side.

I can live in hope!!!

Regretfully it won't happen, Piroe want's to play in a top league and with one year left on his contract we want to cash in.

Just hope we don't lose too many of our "star " players last season we lost Downes, kept Piroe and signed Wood Darling, Allen and a needed Goalkeeper did it make us much stronger maybe not but it did make the squad a little bit better, if we can do similar and get players in we need a little bit stronger may be just the edge we need to progress up the league placings.

You're probably right. It's a long shot, but my point was there doesn't appear to be a clutch of clubs in the top flight showing interest in him? Everton slightly but the rest are championship clubs (Leeds/Leicester/Southampton) none of which are guaranteed to returned to the promised land in 12 months time.

So by cashing in elsewhere, offer him a bumper pay rise to match the other clubs, and give him a guaranteed out if a top flight club comes in with a minimum fee release clause.

I only see it as a win win. Who's his agent? I'll get this sorted now!

His father, Piroe won’t sign anything at Swansea.

Why? Swansea have progressed his career massively, both been good for each other, but Swans have undoubtedly progressed his career, that said he's done very well in adapting to unfamiliar roles, both been good for each other.

IMO its because we can't guarantee Premier league football or match the high wages offered by some other clubs.
