| These Wimbledon interviews on 14:51 - Jul 16 by union_jack | Alcaraz needs to stop doing wha T I always accused Murray if and that’s playing to and fro tennis. There have been times when he could have gone for a winner but instead has decided to play it back to Djokovic. That said, I still think Djokovic is playing much better at the moment. I’m sure we’ll see an improvement from Alcaraz, he just needs to settle down. Easy as that😠|
There we are, he starts to attack the ball and breaks serve.

Proper final. Alcatraz returning everything. Great speed around the court and his forehand is probably the fastest in the game . Think he's on top at the moment but dont write Djokovic off. 🎾

Both players are playing shots that if Murray had done the same would have seen Andrew Castle running around the comms box with his underwear over his head shouting “oh my word”.

I think he was favourite going into the game. He certainly wasn’t favourite with the crowd. Had a few tantrums but nothing compared to me when I played squash so I can’t criticise. As you say, gracious in defeat which is a great quality to possess.

It really is crazy. It was chalk and cheese. So many women's finals are just an anti climax. This i believe is because of the 3 set Match. I would consider making changes to the women's final in a Grand Slam tournament. Either full 5 sets or 4 sets and if level, a 10 tiebreak instead of a 7.

You know the sport far more than I do. But without being sexist would the length of the matches then change the game so much that it would physically change the type of player. Would technique and style be sacrificed for pure strength and spoil the game?

It's only my thought for the final and I've never heard it mooted. So I doubt it would ever happen. The women's game is much more physical now. Navratalova was probably the start. Steffi was strong with flare. Sarena Williams really took it further. The Slav players can wack a ball. If you ever have a chance to see Mimi Xu . She's built like a pocket rocket for her age and 110 mile an hour serves. She's a decent Junior. Whether she can move up, is another matter.

It's a real difficult game to become a pro. The junior men's Wimbledon champ was British this year.
