In fairness he was set to leave on September 11th, he may possibly have only just started after moving his family ect. Unless you know differently of course.
EDIT
This dated yesterday in Aberdeen said he is about to seal a switch.

The last guy turned up 12 months ago. What did he achieve after promising a long term vision.?
He lured away 2-3 long serving staff to work for Southampton and Russ.

Turn around of academy staff is not and never has been unusual

This guy has a long term record at Aberdeen and is bringing his family to Swansea this week.
If he gets a better job then so be it. Until then he seems the sort of character who will at least aspire to make us better.
There’s no loyalty in this game.

Goldie turns up stayed about year then left with two or three hand picked what loyal staff Swansea had, who had been at the club for quite some time. He was a disastrous appointment.

Darren Davies' contract wasn't renewed at the end of last season. He's got a much more senior role at Cardiff, trying to bridge the gap between u21s and first team (whether that's meaningful in practice who knows). Shame to lose him, he got the u18s playing really well..
The last academy manager spent most of his time doing coursework for an England FA qualification. Bringing in people with no connections to the catchment area/community is tricky, by the time they get acclimated they can be out the door. We've lost a lot of the people with the knowledge and connections in South Wales recently. Not many that a fresh face can lean on to learn the ropes.

This is the concern throughout the club at various levels Jasper.
