Yes, I’ve only seen the second half but there is an improvement. However, we are still trying to be too cute at times which eventually ends up in being turned over. Any new manager watching will see the ability. Just hope whoever he is is a good coach.

Since the second goal we’ve never looked like scoring. Very negative, subs not used early enough. Very disappointing,

This is the culmination of years of negative quasi possession football It means our players have had any thrust any positivity sucked out of them We look uncomfortable trying to go coward and score Trunds seems as piddled off as me Make no mistake, mid table mediocrity is s dream right now Wednesday won again Be worried folks

| Swansea City v Middlesbrough: Match day thread on 17:04 - Dec 16 with 1362 views | AnotherJohn | Looked good with about 15 minutes to go, and then made a bad mistake, followed by abysmal game management. As others have said, we used our subs poorly and were depressingly negative. Although he wasn't the worst, I was disappointed with Key, who I had down as somebody who might create a chance but was part of that negativity. He has regressed in the last few games. Looks to me as though Sheehan has blown any chance he had of the top job. [Post edited 16 Dec 2023 17:06]

How can you blame Grimes for that defeat today? It was a stupid error by the goalkeeper.

I blame the stand in manager. He set out for a draw. He had nothing to lose and should have gone for the throat. Get the lead then bring on Fulton and co. to close things out. Swansea teams over the years are not afraid to play and attack usually with two clever and fast wingers and a top class centre forward, The midfielder were sharp and nimble like Allen, De Guzman and Britton were. Now the team is boring and mechanical. We have ordinary joes like Cullen and Yates playing out of position who are not fast. Mechanical lumbering Grimes and Fulton in midfield. No blame on them the harder they work the further backward the club goes. They are rowing hard with a ship that has holes in it. Swansea have not had a reliable keeper on the books since Fabianski left FIVE YEARS AGO. No more loans. Develop for Swansea . Bring in young talent and develop it.

Agreed it was a better performance and without the mistake who knows. They also reminded us what pace can do, regretfully we don't have any.

Roger. I’m not blaming him for the defeat today . I’m blaming him for the way he basically ruins us Why does he insist of playing centre half Why slow the game down when we should be speeding it up Why is his first thought to pass backwards or sideways Any opposition know he can be pressurised when he will give the ball away or simply lose it, meaning others will have to cover for him. He is central to our demise He defines slowness, lethagy, lack of ambition on the pitch . Walsh,in fairness looked way more positive before being taken off. A dumb move by Sheehan ,as was not bringing on Bolasie earlier Some can’t see it,some won’t You love him? Many do, some do not. If you look around ,you will see Roger Grimes “haters”

It’s starting to occur to me that regardless of formation, starting XI or use of subs, things aren’t happening. I wasn’t the least bit surprised that we didn’t come back to draw level a second time. They played with a ‘it’s just not fair’ attitude and became very negative. We just don’t seem to know how to attack consistently. And pace? Are we lacking that or want. One of their players just did us every time. We need some in the side and quick. Someone has got a job in his hands but with a few additions in January and some tactical awareness we can do better than we are.

Paterson, Fulton and Lowe are all players who were bound to tire given their excellent work rate, given the impetus that Fulton and Paterson gave us maybe it was unwise to change them. As for the Grimes/ Fulton partnership it worked a lot better today Key offering width on one side the midfield worked a lot better today that we have seen in a while, did we get done in the middle of the park for the goal yes but we had got the defensive cover and marking right for big parts of the game, error in midfield or in defence or both? Liam Walsh did well today if Patino is recalled we are going to need him fully match fit with no silly injuries I will praise the tempmanager in protecting him so he is available for the future manager.

Indeed. I hate to be boring but,phu k it. I’ll repeat myself and wind everyone up again but, frankly,I’m not arsed any more. I will be candid and not sit on the fence this time… This is not a new phenomenon. We have been trying to play pretty gappy football laughingly know as the Swansea way with players so utterly so incapable of doing so,whatever that is. Look at Cabango and reflect on how he has been mucked about by former coaches, playing out of position at full back thinking he can play a passing game. He can’t . It’s cruel. We have screwed good players ,like Whittaker, who today won the game for Plymouth right at the end . This is ohuckn Plymouth argyle, a club he was desperate to get away from and escape from Swansea . Why was he so desperate . .? I’ve not seen any of our forum experts address that . Martin and cooper ruined him and made him bitter . They killed his game .They froze his enthusiasm . This is happening now with other players . The last coach seemingly buggered the players up with his training methods. We ve got a captain who is simply not one in any shape of form . We squabbled amongst ourselves and more anger, more contempt spleens are vented between fans when other people should be gaslighted as being incompetent jerks un&it to run our club. I’m pretty much seething right now,as I feel we WILL go down, without any doubt at all ,as things stand. Wednesday are picking up dramatically and Rotherham see unlucky to lose to us . That’s where we are folks. In deep dodoo Melodramatic ? Absolutely. It also describes our fall from grace
