There is justice after all on 14:10 - Feb 24 by Gwyn737 | By civilised society I meant us. If you believe in a fair trial, then the law needs to be tested. We need lawyers for that even if we disagree with the motives of a few. What’s the alternative? People don’t have representation? That’s a slippery slope. |
We also need to protect undergrad girls who have been radicalized, trafficked and abused. We have clearly failed in this instance

We have dumped her on our allies to look after. The Kurdish fighters in Syria. Shamima was created in Bethnal Green not Syria. He radicalisation was caused in central London at the Mosque in Bethnal Green. She is a British creation. She has turned out bad and now we dump her to be a burden on our allies. It is probably a good deterrent for future young girls to consider but let not pretend it honorable and decent. Christianity is about forgiveness. We have fly tipped this girl. We do not have the constitution do deal with others just as bad who turn up illegally unannounced. One group of plane passengers objected to the physical repatriation of a violent Jamaican last year. Out of sight out of mind. "Just like that sofa i left at the lay by".

". She is a British creation." Wrong , she's the creation of her parents one of which has no problem with the stripping of her citizenship, what an indictment, her own father. No ones mentioned Christianity, its the law of the land ,which is more civilised than the group she joined and was happy to live within and one I agree with. Do you care about the other 220 who have also lost their passports over the past 10 years , I bet you can't name one.

Aye, the very reason the former leader of South Armagh Jonesborough/North Lough IRA was subject of a exclusion order in the 1980's and banned from entering NI was because intelligence deemed him to be an extremely serious threat to U.K territory. Just like Begum. And what happened during later times in the 1990's when government/security force interest/vigilance faded? That very former Provisional IRA commander defected to the Real IRA and? BOOM, because he directed the Omagh Atrocity during the so called peace process by taking advantage of that. And just like with Begum the U.K (and Ireland) wanted him as far away as possible i.e. extradited to Lithuania! You see when it comes to protecting children and adults going about doing their daily business? The further away evil people are the better! For some inexplicable reason with some however its a case of "The closer the better".

Bravo for the research. I am not familiar with this Irish case to be honest. It was however 44 years ago and the similarities are not that close perhaps. I do not believe Begum is a security risk and could be re assimilated and assessed. She could be useful in addressing similar teenagers now providing she has changed her views. I am sure there are laws to put her inside if she returns to bad ways. We have dumped her on the Kurdish Militia. No one is concerned by this. UK has a problem of the outrageous actions of the Israeli defence force which our Muslim communities rightly see as "turning a blind eye". That is exactly what UK is doing. The atrocities (by both sides) are appalling but a function of the lack of status and representation of a displaced people. There needs to be Palestinian state as a matter of urgency. It is good for them good for Israel and good for the West. UK / USA have a so called "Special relationship", but US does not have a large Muslim community. UK should show its power and independence and demand USA force a solution by economic and military means. This is at a time when USA is falterining on its leadership of NATO. I favour a Palestinian State "river to the sea"with Gaza liked to the west Bank via a road and rail 'Corridor' supported by the West and Arabia with security applied by the Israelis for 30 years. All radical groups willl be made illegal.

If Begum returned, the floodgates would open and the 'full set' will return to the U.K along with her also, my inkling is these 'ticking-time-bombs' are a major concern for the U.K government that does not want blood on its hands, hence the determination to keep them as away as far as possible. But never mind there are nut-jobs out there who want them all back knowing all to well that they would all be out walking the streets after a short slap-on-the-wrist prison sentence whilst radicalising more inside whilst doing time.

That woman seems to be around as long as Coca Cola! And how dare she destroy the dreams of passport-throwaway Begum and her merry gang, after all they're closer to walking in Prophet Muhamad's footsteps where they are now. It's unfair to rob them of their "Holy-Land" experience, because the U.K would order a passport renewal ban if they came back and they would never get the chance to return anyhow. Apparently Caliphates are best suited to historical Caliphate type geographical/theological locations! They're living the dream out there! It's their human right to do so bearing in mind the effort it took to get there in the first place! Why should killjoys ruin that for them?
