He has replaced with a serious injury and brings back a plyer who hasn’t played for 15 months . He persists with playing a centre at 10. He ignores better players as he doesn’t like them or he is just beyond stubborn He is crazy

Our regions struggle….our semi pro teams and club sides struggle….and we’ve now seen where our National team is at. Main cause….not coaching, yes the lack of quality players but the outstanding candidates are the WRU. Take a bow you idiots.

However,to select players who are past it and / or injured, play lads out of position never works . Tactics of kick and hope don’t help Next up. Ireland ,who will take the pyss and take over Cardiff central. I’ve had to school some clown on Facebook about her moaning about people always slaggingboff Wales and nit supporting the lads Yiu do not support being insulted. Nobody should Human dignity Gatland and Williams are of the same cloth Both hanging on in a job they hate for a pay off . Get them out

Can’t argue about getting rid of the coach after this. Rugby in Wales is dying….local club sides not being able to raise a team on occasions…new leagues being formed on a regular basis these days. The regions….Jesus….always calls for the most successful region to be scrapped. Why? The previous WRU board sold the regions down the river preferring to invest in anything other than rugby….the core of their so called business. You couldn’t make it up. Also….where are the younger fans? How many initiatives….kids go free etc…has there been in both rugby and football over the years and for what? Where are they now? Now they’re adults where’s their contribution to sport…to their clubs… to their country? Ah, I’m really disillusioned with sport at the moment…..and tomorrow is yet to come.

I’ve oyssed off with the mostly female “ get behind the boy I always support my country twaddle These people are exactly what we don’t need now We need angry, dssolutioned, insulted folk who love rugby and Wales ri h history We are being pilloried and I ain’t having it No amount of Gatland lies can over up his atobborn incompetence We have enough players to do ok but they are not even in the squad

He’s part of the problem Rayns but the players are not up to standard. This is a problem that starts at grass roots level and a complete root and branch overhaul will be needed that’s going to take time. Start with the WRU, appoint people who see outwards not inwards and go from there.

| Wales' 2025 Six Nations squad ... on 21:27 - Feb 9 with 2029 views | Dr_Winston | This may not go down well on a thread such as this, but to me it seems fairly obvious that one of the reasons for Welsh Rugby's current malaise is the relative success of the football teams since 2010. If you were a sporting mad kid in Wales during the last fifteen years, then you're not going to grow up wanting to be Alun Wyn Jones. You're going to want to be Gareth Bale, or Michu. Or Aaron Ramsey, or Joe Allen. Rugby simply isn't going to register. The talent isn't coming through the ranks because interest in Rugby Union just hasn't been there. I don't doubt that potentially excellent Rugby players who have never considered becoming so can be found in the stands at most Swans or Cardiff games. | |

You could be right but my personal experience my local club seems to do well for filing fixtures at all age groups with a big interest in the sport and is a big part of the local community Bonymaen , my grandson plays at youth level and when I've attended matches there always sems to be a decent attendances , he and his mates are Swans season ticket holders as well playing football on a Saturday morning but at a point he and others will have to decide which game to partake in due to clashes with ko times.

That's my experience too. I always think one of the big positives rugby clubs have over football is having a clubhouse. These are community focal points that many people access even if they don't have a playing connection. Most seem to be doing ok to me and arnet closing at the rate pubs are. I've many happy memories of playing up at Bonymaen. Always been a fantastic club.

The O's have some very good prospects coming through and an up and coming quality coach in Mark Jones intelligent lad and with the rugby intelligence to go with it.
