First off Montague wasn’t doing his job, that’s why he was sacked.
Secondly the choice of new DOF wouldn't work with the current set up.
I’ve been sent this.
After nearly two years at Swansea City, the time has come for me to move on to the next chapter in my career as I pursue another opportunity.

The vast majority of them have shown flashes of quality. Santos aside (and he was only really signed as a squad filler) there's not really any in the bunch springing to mind that you could point at and claim that they were hopeless. A lot of it smacks to me of recruitment by numbers rather than really getting to know the player though.
I'd love to think that we're going out and watching potential targets play numerous times before deciding to make a move. I'm not sure that we are. I also suspect that too many people are having an opinion. | |

Could we really afford not to bring in a couple of older experienced players after the loss of Allen and Naughton and Grimes or his replacement O'Brien. We see how Stamenic has struggled with his positioning and needed Fulton just to ease the pressure on him just as Fulton helped the team under Sheehan.
Eom is now coming along nicely and Widell( who still needs a little more time to get to a top performer. Tymon does a job and with the issues at rightback and then subsequent injuries to Key and Galbraith we are lucky we didn't send Parker out on loan because Ward would struggle with the ninety minutes and would also be targeted by well managered team because lack of pace. Vipotnik is getting more quality balls in the box and putting them away, he has missed a couple though.
The times when Ronald and Eom look ineffective is when there isn't enough support through our midfield but given the problems we have encountered Galbraith hasn't really been able to become the midfield player we want him to be but having said that the shape of the midfield needs to be looked at times during games, you cannot expect one midfielder to be the answer to our problems there but if that midfield has a stability about it then it would go a longer way to help, Franco last season would be thought of as undroppable and the work he does is great but that midfield isn't quite right, do we hang our wingers out wide all the time or give them license to roam get tighter to the centre for example on counter attacks.
Are we any better than last year maybe about par but we lost a lot of players, Darling's loss hasn't help but I do think we have a number of players to build for the immediate future providing we don't lose them but we do need a couple more players who are or capable of being up to speed in the Championship. | | | |

Whoever stated players were signed on data alone ? That just isn’t the way any scouting, transfer, liaison and signing is progressed. Players have to be watched contunously, hence the reason why we’ve constantly stated that ‘a certain player’ has been watched for months. There’s a lot more than watching nd reporting as well. There’s due diligence on the player, gambling, social life, partners and toxic people around them. Inoussa was watched countless times, and Modrić was involved, Idah as well. There was a tournament in Como in the summer we had two people there on several scouting missions.
No insurance would cover a player who a club signs looking at data sheets, if anyone thinks that they are completely off their rocker and clearly don’t read the reports our team put on here. There’s also scouts that nobody is aware of both employed by the Swans and who work with the recruitment folk. Galbraith was more about keeping in touch, keeping him informed and making that extra effort that eventually secured him. That took five months after the last January window.
Signing a player takes weeks, getting to that stage knocks up thousands of miles of scouting, reporting and discussions with a select group of people at Swansea. Then decisions are made.
Do people honestly believe Worth went running into the boardroom waving the Racing Post shouting ‘I’ve got another one here lads’

There’s an award in there somewhere for you mate, and anyone else ready to dehumanise the latest leaver at the Swans. He didn’t get everything right but he’s left the club with a fistful of millions in assets. And nobody pays millions out because some bloke says so using a spreadsheet. Hilarious.

I didn’t like Steve cooper, but I didn’t assonate him because he was just a Liverpool reserve coach. There’s far too were people who did even after he took the Swans to two play offs. Mugs.
