I don’t think we have signed quality of the likes of Stamenić, Galbraith, Widell and potentially Walta plus Inoussa he’s hardly had a chance though, for years. All have and are playing in the first team as is Adam Idah. Opinions I suppose.

His best performances for us have been no better than Jay's best performances for us. He gets praised, plenty still treat Fulton with suspicion. I'm sure there's a Psychology PHD thesis in football supporter thought processes for like and dislike.
Again, not saying he's a bad player, but the way we use him is doing neither him nor us many favours.

I’m sorry to have to do this again mate but the recruitment team didn’t at any point talk or offer contracts to players. That was Gorringe, after the recruitment team did their thing, Richard Montague would have had a process to adhere to but at no point was anyone involved in contract offers other than Gorringe.

Once the process I explained to OHL before is done it was down to Montague initially but then Gorringe to generally meet with agents, then with the player to show them round, medicals (not in every case) etc, Then any agreements made will be signed off generally at Fairwood post medical. We mustn’t forget the importance of video calling etc which happens a lot but the real discussions happen in Swansea. What I do know is that the recruitment folk had nothing to do with any contracts or money discussions. The only thing they had knowledge of was the budget available. | |

I was going on reports like this that indicated that Worth had more of an input than just identifying targets.
 Leo Walta : The inside news plus the clubs the player ignored 3rd Feb 2026 08:00Leo Walta eventually got his terms sorted via his agent and IK Sirius in two days of talks in Swansea. We genuinely felt the deal would be permanent, well in a way it is but the Swans now have the buffer of time to analyse Walta until the end of this season.  1

My nephew worked at Bristol Rovers Academy whilst Gorringe was on gardening leave there. Gorringe did nothing but suck up to the scouse mafia headed by Don Barton. We have already seen one of the scousers take up a position at the club until the supposed end of the season, Andy Mangan. However, it will be interesting to see if the new imminent appointment of a DOF isn't another of that scouse team at Rovers. Eddy Jennings was head of football operations at Rovers and a very close companion of Barton. When Barton was fired the new Kuwaiti owners not only fired Barton but very quickly rid themselves of the scouse contamination and Jennings was soon on his way joining sports lawyers Beswicks in Stoke. He didn't last long there and set up his own agency in Liverpool in October 2025, Legacie Sports and Leisure. It will be very interesting to see who the new DOF turns out to be, if it turns out to be Jennings then the US owners need to take a closer look at the way decisions are taken at the club and how they are arrived at. Thanks for a very decent post.
The issues for me surfaced when we reported this.
That was a mate of Tom Gorringe. That didn’t work out. The employee at the time in the club shop left and is now high up in Joma marketing. And as people can see there was then a brilliant campaign in merchandise late last summer and beyond. All I know about the Gorringe deal with Terrace is it didn’t go down that well with the majority owners at all. Then there’s was the ticket fiasco which really stuck in their throat, there was never any apology. Another instance which Cravatt especially wasn’t happy with.
So you are perfectly correct an eye on who and their previous connections is well worth researching.
