Reform or Restore ? 07:23 - May 30 with 4510 viewstrampie

Being an old leftie i dont know that much about Reform or Restore so i was wondering if Reform voters who's party have been going longer than Restore are going to now vote for Restore ? as Restore seem to be a more authentic right wing party, Reform seem to be more for failed Tories, Restore seem to have a much more accomplished leader in Lowe compared to Farage, also Restore don't seem to be in the lap of the Israeli lobby like Reform (and Labour and Conservatives) are.

Reform and Restore are the product of decades of the (previously) two party state ignoring and gaslighting the electorate at every election who have very legitimate concerns over mass immigration, the rate it’s happening at and the way towns and cities and society as a whole have been transformed beyond recognition. Every government from the last 25 years or so have, when asking for your vote, pledged to reduce the numbers to the tens of thousands. Yet the problem has got far worse. These parties are the only ones who seem to want to do anything about it hence the surge in popularity.

Immigration needs to be done right and when it is it’s a fantastic thing and we’ve done it well in the past. But flinging our doors open to anyone in the world who wants to come here, including many who are criminals and terrorists will cause a whole load of trouble.

Thank the great Soirit for this post
Everyone should read and reflect on this as it’s crucial
Both reform and restore, two ludicrous Labels, are rattling traditional voters cages
This should have happened fifty years ago or at least when the living prick that was Harold Wilson or insouciant Jim Callaghan were screwing the country

We need ….new political thinking
Abolishing of our Monrchy ,as it stands.
Maybe then we can address class war

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

Reform been polling at 25-30% for the last year or two and also achieving those sorts of numbers in local elections. 1 in 3/4 people aren’t slathering at the mouth rabid “far right” fascists as Starmer and the media would have you believe. These are exasperated, fed up, genuinely concerned people who have lost all faith in the status quo and are at the point where they are willing to tear the entire system up.

I won’t be voting for them i think they’ll be an unmitigated disaster in many ways, but I do think long term it’ll be good for the country for both the Tories and Labour to have this massive kick up the arse and start listening to the people they are allegedly representing.

I appreciate that post ohl.

I find it best to just make my point and leave it at that. If what I say is different to what any other poster has said then I'm effectively saying I disagree with them and saying i think they're wrong without starting a post war.

And if people insult me which some have in the past I generally ignore what they've said. I know what I think and that's what counts.

Back to the thread. Farage has shown yet again in the last few days what a disgraceful human being he is using the murder of that young man to score political points. The young lad's Dad showed incredible strength asking that his son's death not be used in a political way and Farage completely ignored his request.

I totally understand the point JON makes about people being so disenchanted with both Labour and the Tories but God help us if that vile man got anywhere near power.

I always enjoy your opinions
I don’t like Farage but not liking a politician is irrelevant
I find myself agreeing with him on some matters and violently disagreeing with others
Churchill was pretty vile but a great leader, Tony Blair ,approachable, friendly, empathetic yet one who sent many to their deaths .
I detest folk being pigeon holed
Our most basic freedom is that where we choose how to think and live our lives
Clearly, nowadays ,we are incapable of doing so.

Anyone defining my humble self would have a hard time from my posts on forums, some of which ( MINERS STRIKE were shockingly wind ups. I regret posting some of what I did but some needed taking down a peg or two . I have a perverse sense of humour .

Harold Wilson dragged our country out of a 19th Tory century.
He did a lot more good than bad in spite of the worst possible external circumstances.
This country does need a reform but the way to go about it is probably through PR.

It is time the antiquated monarchy crawled in to a hole never to be seen.
