The Pakistani amdid all the work and trades. Electrician plumbers construction workers cleaners etc while the Omani wandered around in dressing gowns and drive taxis Thees wees some mechanics etc.
With Ai coming perhaps the UK state wants the British worker on benefits while AI generated profits for all. Reform would want the Arab system where the Asian workers have no right other than a pay check they send home.

Actually the Pakistani population of Oman is 4.7 percent. You opening post stated that the Oman population was mostly Pakistani it is not and never has been.

Asians with many from a Pakistan would gave been more accurate admittedly. As I understand it 60,000 to 80,000 arrived and around 5,000 remained in Ceuta and claiming political asylum presumably.. This would relating to internal Moroccan politics.
The ECHR laws need to changed. UK should drive this change with the threat of withdrawal. We are a welfare state which we actually cannot afford to maintain.

We were told at the start of August by the Spanish Government that things were returning to normal, with 2,000 remaining.

The ECHR was designed to protect an individual's rights from the state, recently it has been interpreted by some in the legal profession as a tool to challenge the rights of the state to manage their affairs. Migrants for example have no more rights than the individuals who are full citizens of a country, for some reason migrants are afforded more rights in the UK. The ECHR is not necessarily the issue, it's how we interpret it. Compare the rights that migrants get in France to the UK, both countries are signed up to the ECHR.
