I think they will. As TG said at the forum and for once we don’t need to sell…we also have another two strikers plus VIP seems pretty settled here which can’t be underestimated.

It does sound cheap, as the club have stated they don’t need to sell him, but it’s just the way I see it going. Of course I hope it is more. For me it all hinges on the upfront payment, if it’s a lot then that could reduce the final deal.

Exactly that on the upfront payment. Transfers are no longer amortised over the contract period (up to 5 years), but are counted as and when you receive the payment. Hence £10m +£2m +2£m +2£m is now more attractive than 4@£4m for SCR rules, as £10m would count this year rather than £4m. | | | |
