The table doesn't lie. Last season we did similar, having played the two Sheffield teams, who were the bottom 2 in the league. We thought we were the dogs danglers. How did that pan out? So we'll see where we're at after 8 games at the international break. We are favourites for the next 2 games at home. We should be top of the league after 5 games. If we get a result at Southampton and beat Burnley. I'll buy into the hype. As of now, it's way too early. |
The majority of teams in the championship playing home are favourites, both Stoke and Derby were favourites to beat us, they didn't. We will be favourites in our next to games purely because we are home, we were favourites to beat Sheffield, we didn't. The next two matches will be very hard to win both, rotation will be a massive problem with our defence because of injuries. 4 points would be an excellent return anything more would be a massive bonus. |  | | |

Last season when we beat Sheffield U, 2nd game, they were suddenly "a very weak team", according to the pundits and their fans. Except they weren't - mid-table.
We are seeing the same again this season. Derby were unlucky to lose against Charlton and could easily have won against Cardiff who are looking mid-table decent.
The same with Stoke, one up yesterday and should have been two up - then what? Apart from us they've played Soton and West Brom, two of the best teams in the league.
I'd rather not think about the Sheffield U game. Hopefully it was an aberration.
Tuesday night is a very important game in my mind. It should be very revealing, for better or worse. It will certainly show whether our new defence is as good as it looks. |  | | |

The fixtures have fallen very kindly for us. We have been away to the two worst teams in the league. We also had a home game against a team who hadn't scored. the great news is that we now have the fancied teams in Wrexham and Burnley who have started poorly. A great opportunity to pick them off before they gather momentum. Watford we should win and Lincoln is almost a gimme. Southampton away may be a bridge too far, but looking good. We'll have a much better idea after those 8 games. |

Nottingham forest were bottom after 7 games, only had ONE point and then got promoted.

Very early days but very encouraging. Welsh and Opoku look great signjngs, Lissah has been brilliant too and exudes confidence.
Its a topsy turvy division, anyone can beat anyone on their day but the squad has real depth and there is quality too.

Looking at Charlton's fixtures, it's only the away win at West Ham you can call impressive, and the Hammers have got off to a slow start. Tougher test for them at WBA tonight.

Eom is looking like the AM we haven't had in years. The team is playing some beautiful football. The defence is looking strong, organized and very hard to over power, hard to crack open. We have three strikers, not 'the striker', three of them, and all formidably good.

Eom is an AM that we've had for years. We've just never really allowed him the freedom to play there.

I am keeping my feet firmly planted on the floor atm.
If we can get 6 pts out of the next 3 games i think we can start to think that we can get a top 8 spot.
We are playing with alot of confidence and its only going going to get better.
We have a really good squad, the players will be giving everything to try and get into tbe matchday squad which can only be good.
My only slight gripe ix that we are missing fairly easy chances, we need to get clinical in front of goal but the good thing is we are creating, wd need to finish teams off. |  | | |
