Any associated costs with increasing the capacity cannot be repaid by football alone. It would need to be a concert venue as well at the very least. Would we be able to compete with Cardiff for acts that attract those crowds? Sadly I’m not sure. |
It would be a massively bold undertaking (even if the new owners could “Wrexhamize” our income streams . Even then I think Cardiff city would chuck in a few planning objections lol. It is the one thing that could catapult the club into another stratosphere but also kill with excessive debt. I’d love to see it happen with cheap ST’s and matchday walk up tickets . It's their time in the sun, they may well suffer the same fate as us and notice costs start to creep up beyond what they can afford or just have one bad season.
We had 7 seasons, some thought that meant we were established but it proved npt to be.
On the question of can we comoete with Cardiff for the big acts, not unless we have a big enough stadium. The big acts want bigger crowds than we can currently fit in, they want the things that are in bigger stadia so if Snoop is genuine about building thaty side, extending the ground is a must. | | | |

I can't watch it but 54k is a bit much. I think we need only 32-35k for the forseeable future. Even then we'd not fill it unless in the Prem, unless we had a big cup game and prices were cheap enough maybe. |

Honestly, I think the club will look to buy the stadium first before even considering expanding it. Without a doubt, it’s an amazing project—even I’ve designed it on Gemini, haha! My biggest fear is if this beautiful team gets promoted to the Premier League and I travel to Wales, I won't be able to get a ticket for a match. So my heart says I hope to go soon, but if they go up and I can't snag a ticket, I'll still be happy just to see them back in the big time |  |

Firstly I think it's fair to say that the 54,000 expansion video is just not realistic. That's St James Park size. And i'm not talking Exeter City there. I'd imagine 35,000 would be the max.
It's all ifs and buts I know. But if they decided to expand by putting 10 extra rows for example around the North, East and South that would add about 7000 (each single row is about 700 at a guess). That would give a capacity of 28,000. But if they decided that 35,000 was needed the extra 10 rows would cost a fraction of the first ten.
So the message is, if they decide to do it they may as well expand by a substantial number. | | | |

When you get down to it, you can’t have premier league football with the current capacity. The stadium was built but there was an option of 25k, the club at the time wasn’t anywhere near the premier league so they went for the lower capacity. Back then getting 20,400 was a pipe dream. Now it very much isn’t. |  |

Would any expansion need to be a cantilever, if so I can see it being only over the East edging around the corners. The South is not particularly popular and usually the last to sell out corners apart so is it profitable to extend there, but I can see the validity for concerts ect. The North would have massive logistical implications with away supporters, even moving them would cause problems with access, the stadium has been built in a poor position, particularly so close to the river. |  | | |

Wasn’t there something along the lines of we got certain grants for a 20k ish capacity but weren’t entitled or couldn’t get any more if we wanted larger capacity

As I first said.it would cost a fortune to redevlop the ground because a lot of work needs doing around the ground re access and parking.
I think there'd have to be a whole new tier around the South and West, on the outside, Bus stops and taxi ranks, bridges so the roads didn't have to shut and of course the extra parking and turnstyles.
