I suspect President Putin’s people will have had a word with the Russian hooligans before hand and warned them to behave or it’s an extended holiday in Siberia! I would imagine all the stops will be pulled out to make the World Cup a success and they won’t want a hunch of Neanderthals spoiling it.

I shared many drinks with Cardiff and Russian fans alike last summer in Toulouse. Only heard 1 police siren in the 5 days that we were there.

The English fans latched onto a handful of Welsh and thought they were safe. That made me laugh. I was out in France, we never had a problem with the Russians, they drank and sang with us. But see, we never goaded them, or took our shirts off giving it all large, or threw chairs etc.etc. Hopefully, after taking passports off a couple of thousand known hooligans, the English fans who have showed up behave themselves and have a great time. If they don't, then they will suffer the consequences.
