Security issues be vigilant on 21:33 - Mar 22 by Swanjaxs
Absolutely mate.
The biggest threat we have going forward (virus excluded) is the crimms who want to feed thier drug habits.
They will see closed down pubs and shops as an easy target and stop at nothing.
Lockdown and get the army in asap.
This is serious my friend
100%.
At the moment everywhere is closing but people can still go out, looting is inevitable. Army needs to come in and country needs to go into full lockdown.

Johnson seemed flabbergasted at the suggestion of using the police to enforce a lockdown when asked earlier, let alone the army.

I know the civil liberties types will jump on me for saying this but, during times like these criminal behaviour should face zero tolerance. If law and order is allowed to slip away...well do we want to find out what real anarchy looks like?
Genuine question, what would the Army be doing in this situation, and how effective would they be?
I don't believe the Army would get involved in civil offences, that would be left to the police.
We are not (rightly or wrongly) a culture where we fear our own armed forces, barring Northern Ireland, when was the last time (if ever) we saw the army on 'deployment', for want of a better word, on the mainland?

Acting as a deterrent maybe? Probably be more effective than a couple of PCSO’s.

The army might help with the medical needs, transportation needs, planning needs, and back up for the police as required.
The police will still lead on all their normal matters. Shirley ... ?

The army won’t be nicking anything as long as the nco’s maintain control.
