I'm hardly a Cooperite but he was class yesterday. He had a case of going for the jugalar ;he had every justification.
Privately ,he'll be seething.
Our club is clearly not the flavour for Sky pundits

Poll: Christmas. Enjoyable or not

"I am not getting involved in personal tittle-tattle," said Swans boss Cooper.

"We are a classy club and I am classy person."

As a manager Cooper has grown massively this season just kill Warnock with silence he hates it.

Bookies still favour Brentford & Watford over us
2 games in hand and 1 point off second place

Not much money going on us is probably the reason.

With limited resources, yes limited compared to our rivals, he’s doing an unbelievable job of getting results. To be challenging seriously for an automatic promotion slot going into March really is exceptional and we now look good money for the play offs.

By now even those fans who were resistant to giving SC praise can see what an exceptional job he’s doing. Some of our football isn’t the prettiest. But results matter above all else whilst we endeavour to implement our own style. And put the Club right back on the map.

I can recall our 1999/2000 Championship winning season in League Two. 46 games, 30 goals conceded, only around 50 scored and many games were a grind. But John Hollins found a way to maximise the potential of the squad and that’s exactly what SC is doing. 👏

Steve Cooper “ we’ve found a way of winning” ( with limited resources) , doing an amazing job, hardest job will be keeping him here.

Spot on about Hollins.

I remember going to Barnet and sitting in a stand next to a very nice Barnet supporter. Steve Watkin put us ahead after about half an hour and the guy turned to me and said "I suppose that's it ten 1-0 to you today". He was right.

Swansea do not have limited resources to Brentford , Boro , Reading, Barnsley. Swansea are at an advantage to them in cash terms as the club is in the last year of it parachute. Watford, Norwich and Bournemouth have more cash. Bouremouth should be out of sight being 10 point adrift and needs 4 extra good results from the last 11-12 games.

Cooper has 4 or 5 stagnating players he needs to use. Arriola, Freeman, Whittaker, Manning. We know they are not match fit but that is his fault. Arriola and Freeman have been training hard for 5 weeks.

Wise sage since Toshack era

Manning has started the last 2 matches? Whittaker was bought as a player for the future. Do you really want to see Freeman in the team!?

We may have an advantage in cash terms to some of those teams but it's not exactly translated to a larger transfer budget compared to those other teams has it?

No, they don’t have a player on 80K a week and they aren’t still feeling the effects of taking a huge loss on the likes of Clucas. Brentford sold their two best players close season for a lot of money and spent a tiny fraction of it on Toney.

Indeed but of course we have parachute payments and also sold players and spent a miniscule amount compared to the 5mill they spent on Toney.

Not like you to make remarks and guess things that don’t have substance 😂

It’s widely recognised that ours is a relatively small first team squad. Backed up by the Under 23 squad. The playing budget has been reduced massively season by season and all of the high earners except Andre have either left or had contracts on reduced terms eg Wayne / Kyle

Boro Norwich Watford Brentford Reading Bournemouth have flashed the cash to offer big contracts although of course Brentford have also lost 3 or 4 big hitters from their first team too Watkins Benrahama Moupay. Even Boro have a very strong experienced “second X1”.

We have been relying on a nucleus of around 15/16 players this season and they’ve been exceptionally consistent. The players you refer to like Ariola Whittaker Freeman are bolstering the squad. Manning has played a big part recently and done well.
