Seventeen, first time away independently. Some great performances . If I’d recall correctly it was Toots then The Fall . Pogues were great and apparently the 3 hour performance of Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan is a watershed in world Music. Caught a little bit the nuances of Asian music pass me by. The Go Betweens were very chaotic as outlined in Robert Foster’s book. James were very good. Enjoyed the reggae and hearing some of the amazing playing of African music too. Was a good trip.

Sounds like a great trip.
Apparently he was suffering with Covid like symptoms and was taken to hospital where he died. A great loss to music and Caribbean culture.
