| Asoro is back on 18:16 - Jan 5 with 2212 views | ReslovenSwan1 | This might free up Cullen going to Newport perhaps. Asoso has real gas and a contract up to 2022. Can his carreer at Swansea be recovered?. He needs to stay in the UK for sure to improve his overall game as his reputation (and wages ) are clearly a level above what he is delivering. Hopefully the Cent has dropped and he has been learning about the "non negoziabili" on the Italian training pitches. [Post edited 5 Jan 2021 18:19]

Yup. Asoro's spell at Genoa was hugely disappointing with no appearances to his name in the Italian top-flight, though he was an unused substitute when they faced Hellas Verona in October. He spent last season in the Netherlands with FC Groningen, scoring three goals in 15 Eredivisie games before the league was suspended owing to the coronavirus outbreak. The Stockholm-born striker was previously on the books of Sunderland, where he made 33 appearances for the first team and became the youngest ever player of Nigerian descent to debut in the Premier League aged 17 years and 117 days when he came on in the 81st minute of a 2-1 loss to Middlesbrough on August 21, 2016. Asoro has a valid contract with Swansea City until June 30, 2022.

| Asoro is back on 20:32 - Jan 5 with 1980 views | Luther27 | I had hoped for Assoro when he first came here. A young Swedish lad brought in by Potter who obviously had his grounding in Sweden. Little bits I’ve heard about Assoro is he is very family oriented. His mother stayed with him when we first signed him...and he settled. Since then he’s not fulfilled his potential. Considering Coopers best work is with youngsters maybe he can put the lad back on the tracks and help him progress to our benefit. Worth a try in my books because the kid has lightening pace....and lots of potential. | | | |

I agree Perch. He came on as sub during the Man City cup game. He then cost us the game. He owes our club big time. I hope he has improved. 🤷â€â™‚ï¸

Would have had to be in training he would be improved, he's had zero match experience in Genoa.

56 appearances in his career of five years. Not good.

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

18 month left on his deal. I doubt he can afford to waste this time. A good 18 month of progression sees him in the Premier league on £30k a week loved and respected and a full Swedish or Nigerian international . Business as usual sees him in the Swedish third division bored demoralised with $4m in the bank at 23.

You're either good enough or you're not though. He's had plenty of chances at other places and as NL said above, he's averaging 11apps a season, and I'd wager 90% of those are off the bench. I'd be surprised if he's in Coopers plans at all, and unless we can find another club for him to go to he'll be doing what John has been doing for the first half of season, U23s. I'm sure Jasper has said previously that his attitude has been all wrong when playing for U23s in contrast to Peterson, apologies if I'm mistaken.

Potter I'm guessing. Was his biggest sympathiser when he was here, but that opinion has changed.

Kyle Macaulay was Potters recruitment man. Then spent £7m on Asoro, Celina, McKay and Declan John. Three gone and the other will clearly not play for Cooper again. £7m Swansea could not afford to waste. The US owners rightly pulled the pug on £6m for Ryan Woods who has not pulled up trees. They got pelters for no backing Potter and Potter started looking for new opportunities after biting his lip. A Nigerian site said the Italians were sending him back but Cooper has denied any knowledge of this today. Perhaps the Italians did not read the "no recall" clause in the loan agreement? No aperances. [Post edited 7 Jan 2021 20:55]

Not an England youth and he's a winger so not even give a chance. Maybe a message to all who suggest players who do well in L1 and L2 are up to the standards of the Championship.

The manager doesn't rate those don't put in a proper grafting shift. Quite rightly so. We are becoming a tough, resilient team, renowned for never giving up and taking the game to the opposition esp in the 2nd half whether we're winning or losing. Our best starting 11 does all of the above, in spades. The likes of Dhanda are peripheral for a good reason. Celina another. Palmer another (as AJ quite rightly pointed out).Etc....

I never ever understand a manager saying things like that. If he were to end up back with us what incentive is it for him to knuckle down and try and get in the managers plans? This season more than ever with the gruelling schedule & the possibility of real covid problems at any time, we should make sure as much as we can that everyone in the squad is ready if required.

Very odd statement considering the unequivocal news on all media in the last two days.

For all his achievements, the manager's biggest development need is man-management. Birch was on the case, not sure whether Winter is. He also seems driven and ruthless, clearly doesn't suffer fools or slackers. Who's our PR man ?

| Asoro is back on 12:26 - Jan 8 with 1008 views | ReslovenSwan1 | I watched Declan John play for Wales u21 v Bulgaria 5 or 6 years ago. Wales won 3-1 and Wales youth player of the year Cardiff city O'Sullivan scored 2. (Now nowhere). It was event to me Declan could not defend as a full back and the Bulgarian winger had a free pass. Everything else was fine. 6 years later he seemingly has not rectified these issues. Some players simply lack application. You cannot accuse Bidwell and Roberts of shirking. I suspect Cooper sees in a player like Asoro as a weak link and lacking in the aspects of application. He simply cannot do what is asked of him. Therefore he will not be picked. Cooper would prefer to pick a player schooled in Swansea from the age of 8 in Bradley Gibbins than Asoro I suspect. Why should Cooper speak in niceities.. McKay John watched QPR run rings around them last season and never played for Swansea again. [Post edited 8 Jan 2021 12:28]
