Seems to be plenty of kids on the street already, anyway door locked, curtains shut, hopefully get no door knocks, nothing worse kids knocking when you have no treats to give them, I was hoping for a downpour to put them off.

Yeah, now fireworks night has gone bonkers! It seems many are buying fireworks not sold in shops, specialist fireworks, 30 shot stuff and so on.

2;police lad injured here last night by these fireworks.
Why do encourage it all

It is nuts.

Good luck anyone with pets. A WEEK of hassle

Yes, the standard ones sold in shops can be dangerous if things go wrong, let alone these specialist ones.

It's also the dingbats and their bonfires which maim kids every year.
Ask any Fire fighter, who often get aggro when they turn out to put them out.

We hate the fireworks too but we love Halloween, we always have a tub of goodies for those kids who knock.

Things are over commercialised but it doesn't mean you should stop hving fun!

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

Fair play to Asda this year are only selling noise free fireworks, that's a start.

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!

We only had a few. Around here it seems if you don't make it obvious (by decorating the front of your house) then people walk on by. Fair enough, next door went foul ghoul and had loads of knocks.

And yes, we should ban fireworks for the public and only have organised displays. When I was a kid fireworks were nowhere near as noisy or as big as now. These days it's like a warzone, some of these things make my windows and doors rattle.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

How many people a year get a banger or air bomb put through the letter box? These could easily kill people.
