What is ahead of us this week is the most testing week in Russell Martin’s short tenure. Away games at Coventry City and Bournemouth rank up there with the most difficult the Championship can throw up. And will test the resources of not only Swansea City, but Martin’s ability to manage at the highest level he has ever experienced. 1 Swans getting sent to Coventry, click above. A great opportunity for the boys to make a massive statement - Coventry are punching above their weight but with some style - but I think we can get at least a point. Bournemouth always looked a cut above us whenever we played them last year - I hope Russ really presses home the fact they’re unbeaten and it’s our lads big chance to be the first to shoot them down.

The 2 biggest of the season so far, Coventry have been very good at home, Bournemouth have just been very good. I'd take 2 draws now but I hope for 4 points though we could easily lose both too. Talk of our promotion credentials is very premature. Lets see where we are after Christmas. After the first 6 games some were claiming we were very poor and now, after 3 wins in 4 the narrative has skewed wildly in the other direction. Patience folks, we still need consistency

Martin’s words echoed exactly that yesterday, away from home.

After 6 games, it wasn't a ''claim'' that we were poor. We were poor. 5 points from a possible 18, 4 goals scored. Barely a chance mustered. Why people are pretending otherwise is beyond me, it's like the Twilight Zone I swear We have adapted the things that weren't working (long overdue), and things are looking better. Rocket science it aint.
