New Year reading recommendations. 13:14 - Dec 30 with 810 viewsGwyn737

My New Years resolution is to brush up on Welsh history as I reckon a lot of my schooling on it has seeped out over the years. Any recommendations from fellow posters?

I’m particularly interested in Welsh people’s impact on the wider world and regional specialist industrial history - particularly in the south west.

Please avoid ‘weren’t England horrible to us stuff’

Thanks in advance 👍

Start on your own doorstep and head west from there, Gwyn. 👍

Not read it, but there is a section in the Museum of Liverpool curated by the same author which is very good.

On another note, while I’m here, if anybody is looking for a novel then this is worth your time...

This is a pretty good overview, Gwyn.

I’ve got another book here somewhere too, the title escapes me for the moment, that focuses on Protestant fundamentalism as the driver for colonisation. I’ll try and dig that out if it’s something that interests you?

I’m good like that, Gwyn. I’m not a bad singer either.

It is. It’s about 80% of the primary curriculum although it’s often framed in other topics, for example when studying the Normans the focus will be on the Normans in Wales.

Unfortunately for me it was all some time ago!
