Keith Todd was a pocket battleship of a player and an excellent goal scorer, according to Wiki he was born in 1941.
His brother Huw was also a good footballer, I played with him briefly for Clydach United.

RIP Keith

Rog, I played a handful of games for Clydach around 1986.
First game was away at Newport YMCA. We played the game at Somerton Park with a good few hundred watching.

It would have been 1967/68 I played for them, it was the Welsh League 2nd division, it was a hard league with quite a few ex pro’s playing in it. Got a nasty ankle ligament injury playing away against Tynte which put me out of the game for a while.
The club played on the Mond playing field in those days, I think they disbanded a few years later and reformed later on.

I only played a few games for them. It was Welsh League, either 2nd or 3rd Div. Then moved on to Rhayader Town. Also played quite a few games for Haverfordwest during that period, under a false name. Neil Fredrickson was Manager? Most of the team were ex Swans apprentices. The good old days.

It's now part of the golf course , the are was reclaimed...
Shame really because if Clydach had a welsh league team these days it would be pretty well supported.
Was you there in the days of Gordon Davies etc ?

I was going to ask Lifelong when he was at Clydach. I remember the old cub scout in front of the pitch

My cousin Peter might have been playing for Clydach that year. He now spends most of his life on the golf course that replaced the pitch
