Manchester City weighing up bids for Tommy Doyle 16th Jan 2022 09:00
Swansea City have been linked with Manchester City’s Tommy Doyle over the last few weeks, but now it seems Cardiff City have already inquired about him this weekend. The issue for any championship club will be his salary which for a twenty year old is in excess of ten thousand pounds a week. 1

Not sure we need him. Especially if he's on big wages theres more pressing requirements in defence. Mcatee links seem to have gone quiet.

Zero interest in this player for me, our Eastern cousins are welcome to him.

We don't need expensive loans 17th in the league permanent signings or save the money for the summer.

He was on the bench yesterday, I really don't see the need for Doyle, as you say let's get a centre back in

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

BBC Wales phone is was banging on about him signing for Cardiff. No mention of Swansea (hardly surprising) (as was Nathan Blakes dries that the Capital Club of Wales shouldn't be down there)

Lord_Jack increasingly detached from the riches of kicking a ball

Not sure about him, is he a creative or holding midfielder?
Don't think another holding midfielder is essential but if it's coming in to replace Fulton then I could understand to an extent.

Why Fulton hasn't played so its not like he'll be missed, more pressing needs in the squad for me, defence and attack pace we need, nothing to lose by giving Kyle Joseph his head for 3 or more games, think he felt a bit pressured yesterday when he came on, he's clearly a talent so lets see him have a chance.

I wouldn't disagree. Think in Grimes, Downes and Smith that we have 2 covering 3 but Martin might want someone in there to cover injuries/covid etc.

I think we need a centre half or 2 and another creative midfielder before another holding one for sure. Up top, Piroe with Obafemi as long as he pulls his act together with Joseph backing up as 3rd choice would not be the end of the world....a more established striker would be a better option though.

Think we could muddle through until the summer and go from there, January has nearly always been a difficult window to add players particularly quality ones, unless clubs are prepared to pay inflated fee's and wages.

We have a lot of weeks coming up where we are playing 2 games a week and often on the weekend playing rested teams. We need a reasonable sized squad to cope with this.

Gruff said Joseph was a wing back on Twitter, I had to stop him shouting from the roof tops when he came on yesterday in the right hand side of defence 😂🤭

Agree , , games are thick and fast as it is but we're also going to be playing catch up

He is certainly a striker, he is only playing on the right due to us being short on numbers there.

As it stands, he is 3rd choice striker and back up right wing back 😬🤣
