I was pleased with the team named to start yesterday, although surprised the new lwb wasnt involved in some way ?
Good to see RM go a different way yesterday.

Wasn’t match fit & cramping plus blowing out of his a**e for last 15 minutes but thankfully Blackburn failed to exploit that - very important 3 points & sending off brought the players & fans together, that said we road our luck a tad (probably due a little to be fair).
Not sure RM made the best use of his substitutions - unless Ntcham was carrying a knock - Piroe should have been sacrificed for Bennett & next up Pato off for Latibeaudiere allowing Wolf to push up nearer to Obafemi. The way he went forced us to drop too deep & made in 30 mins of attack vs defence with no out option - that said we held on so his plan worked. | | | |

I don't know if it will make a difference to people's attitude toward Jamie but this is what I heard.
Everyone, it appears, believes it was about more money. I was told that what he actually wanted was a longer contract. He was offered the one year extension but believed that his efforts were possibly deserving of a longer extension giving him some security. Which at his current age of 30 is far more understandable.

My opinion is that if he is one of our best players we will forgive him anything.
Soon forgotten are these spats if the team does well.
