Without knowing why RM initially decided to mostly use him out wide (probably due to a lack of other options), he is benefitting from playing in his natural position.
Always liked what I've seen of him but never really had a consistent run in the side. Hopefully that will change as Cabango, Naughton and he look like a potentially very capable back three. Experience and youth. |  |

Perhaps RM thought Manning was a better option, he was made to make a choice
to pick him due to Manning's red. Sometimes managers are forced to make their 'best' decision due to a chain of unfortunate events. He has a decision to make for Saturday, what's he going to do.

Was amazed that he sent them out in the wrong position against Brighton in the cup didn't do either of them any favours
