But is it the right one let's be honest if it were not that he was a local lad we would be looking elsewhere.

Yes lacks the engine of Downes but reads the game very well.
Just playing devils advocate but overall I think it's a good move.

We aren't spending the 8 million on Joe though, he's a free transfer. The only cost is his wages and Downes leaving frees up a good chunk of those wages. The 8 million is more to fill in the financial black hole so we don't HAVE to sell any others. We may still sell Piroe though, to free up funds to bring in 2-3 other decent players.
We may not be in the financial mess several other clubs are but we still spend more than we have coming in and we hav CLN that may need paying back too. it's still about finding the right balance. | |

Resloven has nothing to back up the latest changes to the shares being related to the CLN being converted no.
Because it isn't.
New share certificates are being issued in relation to the settlement agreement. Nothing to do with the CLN. | |

In Walsh's case he's a year younger than the Plymouth player, and was a standout in his season in League One. Injuries obviously an issue but he's already in the building, no fees required. Ntcham played in Serie A and continental competition with Celtic. Let's not pretend we have no viable options in Downes' position, even without dipping into the academy.
