Is he? 62 goals in 67 appearances for Dortmund. 14 goals in 8 appearances for Man City. 21 goals in 23 games for Norway. He’s only 22 so hard to make a definitive statement. I’m not going to include Cristiano or Messi in this as they aren’t your traditional strikers, they are more forwards. You have the likes of Ronaldo (R9), Henry, Mbappe - there are others of course, the likes of Van Basten and Pele…. But for me it’s down to those 4. 1. Haaland 2. Ronaldo 3. Mbappe 4. Henry That’s how I would have it as it stands if I were to build a team around someone tomorrow in their prime (or as they are now in the case of Haaland and Mbappe).

You very rarely see a striker who is unplayable when he’s at his best. The original Ronaldo is the only one I can think of. Haaland has looked that way this season.
| Haaland the greatest striker ever? on 10:32 - Oct 6 with 844 views | trampie | The opening post doesn't mention Haalands record in European competitions, Haalands record in the Champions League is incredible. The opening post also leaves out Haalands record for RB Salzburg which is top notch, his record in Norway domestic league was when he was a teenager considering his young age was also good especially his last year. Haaland goalscoring record thus far is superb. | |

If he carries on like this he’ll get 80+ a season.

I saw something the other day that stated it took him 8 games to record 3 hattricks. The record was previously held by Michael Owen, 48 games. It’s men and boys.

As I posted yesterday his current record is 19 goals from 12 games. Based on 48 games ( 38 league and 10 cup games ) that would give him 76 goals. An incredible goals per game ratio in the modern game.

More hatricks in eight games than our whole club has had in 15 years or so. It is crazy. And his goals are always such simple tap ins. You look at other strikers mentioned like Brazilian Ronaldo and you think pace, power, skill, technique. Haaland doesn’t really stand out in any of those aspects. But he’s always in the absolute optimal position. It’s a gift that not many strikers have.

Yeah Robbie Fowler had that too, although in terms of pace and power he’s right up there. He’s an animal physically. His strides are so wide he eats up the ground like Usain Bolt does, he’s got to be up there with the quickest over 50m in football. He still holds the record for standing long jump in his age group that he set when he was 5 years old. He was born to be a freak athlete.

The frightening thing is he has all those attributes in abundance. He’s not going to be overly technical because he doesn’t need to over complicate when he can just steamroll through defences. All his goals look like tap ins because he’s got that predatory instinct combined with fantastic run timing. On top of that, he’s got the likes of DeBrunye placing balls perfectly into his path against defences that are usually half pulled apart by that point in the attack anyway. Putting a player like that in a team like that is practically unfair.
