This is shocking:

An Indianapolis Metropolitan Police officer is facing federal charges after shocking bodycam footage showed him stomping on the face of a suspect while already in handcuffs.

The video is on the story: https://www.dailymail.co.uk/ne

No surprise, white copper stamping on a black man

I love the race narrative alluded to in the reporting.

I wonder if they would list the races had it been a black police man who did that to a white man, or a white cop doing it to another white man, or a Hispanic man doing it to a white man.

“Black officer kicks white man in head” - I’d say almost certainly not.

Here is the same source (Daily Mail) reporting a white victim of police violence - see any mentions of race here? Hispanic and white officers… Of course not.

When you see the actions of US police and the ramapant politicising of judges, you have to be proud and protective of what we have here.

Obviously it's not perfect but it's miles better than what is over the pond.

Some police are power hungry idiots. Most of them are great.

But those “some” come from all races, sexualities, genders and ethnicities - the people they use aggression on also come from all races, sexualities, genders and ethnicities.

This constant race baiting is something people should be standing up to now, it’s so transparent it’s pathetic.

Labelling them “white cop” and “black victim” is so brazen it’s embarrassing, yet many will read that and not even notice and take the bait, walking away from the article thinking “racist police”.

Yet the next week a white man will be attacked by a Mexican officer and they will suddenly be “cops” and “victims” again with no mention of race (that’s if it’s even reported). No wonder people have the false notions they do regards to society and how cops are then vilified, I’d be suing for defamation by implication if I was that officer.

It’s time people stood up to this utterly fraudulent narrative and people need to be held accountable.

If you have solid proof of a racial motive we can explore it by all means, until then I find the use of race as a sensationalist or virtuous tool utterly repulsive.

The constant reference to unprofessional police behaviour and no reference to excellent and appropriate conduct means there has to be a balance Jim. Nobody has been labelled that unless of course there is a clear agenda, which at times there has been.

It’s wrong to put everyone into the same basket, as I’ve said before it’s how very nasty stuff starts.
Whole groups of people becoming a target in history as an example often doesn’t end well. We need balance.

People involved in public facing employment, in the criminal justice system from police to social workers are entitled to come on here and see balanced views. Especially when the OP is far from helpful.

Even if the bloke was struggling or trying to fight his was out, doing that would be wrong.

He must've known, his colleagues were wearing bodycams or a good chance they would be, so why do it?

In the climate since the killing of George Floyd, he was never going to get away with it.

It’s become fashionable to hate the police.

One particularly funny moment was a BLM protester who was chanting “defund the police” with a group.

They then went up to some random strangers and started shouting in their faces about something or other. One of the strangers then pushed the BLM protester in the chest to create space between them.

Without a second thought the BLM protester previously shouting to defund the police probably 2 minutes earlier, shouted “Police! Police! He just attacked me!”.

And let’s hope we see a balanced view when it’s an example of appropriate behaviour, professional and as we expect.

It's not just the police that run towards trouble, the general public do it too, and they don't have the benefit of back up, tasers, batons or gas either.

My experience of the police hasn't been very positive. I called 999 a while ago as my daughter was being pushed around by her ex. We could hear it on the phone, so could the dispatcher. They didn't turn up when i said i was driving there, and he had left. Nothing happened, i gave them his name, a description and the lazy b*stards didn't even turn up

He's back and fo there all the time. The police when they can be bothered, pull him in - he get's a fine - yes, I know that's not the fault of the police.and carries on doing it again. It's no deterrent, as he has been banned from going there I'm at the end of my tether. So don't anyone tell me how good a job the police do

You gave a couple of very positive experiences last year.

As ever, the issue is ‘the police’ as I have said grouping a whole organisation together and tarring them with the same brush is the start of some very odd thinking IMO. Replace police with whatever word you like and it becomes a bit more clearer.

Tell her to apply for a non molestation order. That way any contact, and he’ll face criminal charges.
