The restrictions on women's rights seem to be largely ignored by the media with a focus on LGBTQ+. Even on this board the human rights thread focusses on LGBTQ+. About 50 recent of the population overlooked?
Maybe so, the Islamic countries all tend to treat women the same way, some are more extreme than others obviously. They all support each other too hence the atari officials confrontingg the Iranian protestors yesterday.
It should all be in there, it's all inclusive, the only thing any repressive regime can claim is inclusive which is the oppression of anything and anybody who disagrees with their rules.
Lets face i, all religions are oppressive to a certain extent. They all have rules that, if thoroughly observed would restrict people. It's kind of why they are there, so the church (or whichever religious organisation you name) could maintain control of the masses under the threat of eternal damnation.
Most of the world has moved forward but Qatar is one of those countries still employing rules from 1000 years ago.

The majority are working as pundits for the BBC & ITV.
Watching Poland v Saudi & all 3 in the studio are women, are they really the best people for the job or is it political correctness gone mad?
I was thinking that myself. It is rank tokenism. The girl in the middle would not be allowed on the streets looking like that ,especially with her female chum
